Excess Baggage on Blu-ray is a fun and entertaining road movie with a great soundtrack, but the image quality and clarity are lacking in places. The film stars Alicia Silverstone and Benicio Del Toro in a phony kidnapping scheme gone wrong. The movie is worth checking out for fans of 1997 films of this genre. Nice throwback.

This is a ‘don’t think too much’ film. It’s just a good time to kick back and watch. If you try to make sense of it, you’ll lose the light heartedness the film brings. I recommend this for those rainy days in front of the tv. I’ll admit, I didn’t care for the film when it first came out back in 97. But I caught it on tv a few months ago and felt like I was taken back to the 90s-also found a new appreciation for it. Great acting-the story tends to bend too much tho (It’s all over the place). That smile Alicia Silverstone is famous for is def seen through out the movie. What sucks is there aren’t any extras..I was bummed. That’s the only negative thing I can’t say about the new release.
