Q: I see that this uses a USB -C cable. My Macbook has a regular USB port. What do I have to purchase to connect these?

A: This drive comes with two cables: * USB-C to USB-C Cable * USB-C to USB-A™ cable for backward compatibility (Compatible with USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0) By regular USB port, I assume you mean your Macbook has a USB-A, so you should be able to use the USB-C to USB-A cable. I don't think you will have to purchase any additional cable. I hope this helps!

Q: Is this an SSD drive?

A: No, this is an HDD, which is a mechanical external hard drive, not an SSD, which is a solid state hard drive. It spins at 7200 RPM. It is an excellent Hard Drive, but an SSD is faster and costs considerably more.

A: This drive comes pre-formatted for Mac OS, but Windows 10 can reformat it very easily.

A: There only seems to be one USB-C drive available, and I have that connected to my mac mini. To the best of my knowledge, it will not connect wirelessly. That being said, I like it. It fits very well with the mac aesthetic. It actually looks nicer than most apple products.
