I'm going to cut to the chase. Do not purchase this game. Let some other poor sap (like moi) purchase this game so you can try it out at their house. Really, it's quite a sad attempt at Wii Play/Sports.
There are 7 mini games on this Game Party game, and most of them are not very much fun or good. You have air hockey, skiball, darts, trivia, hoop shot, tossing balls in cups, and shuffleboard. I know you're asking yourself, "How could you possibly go wrong with a selection like that!?" Well, here's how they did it.
Air Hockey is a erratic game of hitting a puck with an arm that can't stay under control. Even when you think you have figured out exactly how to move, you do something and realize you're completely wrong. This game is no fun at all, and trying to figure out how to move your arm up and down and stretch it out to hit the puck is confusing and irritating.
Skiball is another game that I enjoy in real life, but not on the wii. Using the same movements as wii bowling, you roll this ball and try to get it into 1 of 6 (or 7?) holes. Too bad it's nearly impossible to get a good score in this game and it's not as fun as bowling.
Hoop Shot. Pretty self explanatory. You shoot a ball in a hoop, and your movements with the wiimote is the same. Pretty simple game, and pretty easy to master. It's just no fun when you hit almost every shot the first time playing this game.
Cup ball (which is what I'm calling it since I can't remember the actual name) is also another boring game they decided to throw on here. It's like that drinking game where you bounce a ball into a cup and it has to be drank. It's a pain getting the ball in the cup, and the only way to have fun playing this game is to actually be drunk while playing.
Darts is a fun game actually, despite being bundled with some terrible games. If you like darts in real life, you'll enjoy this game. The only problem I have with this is sometimes it gets a little frustrating trying to hit certain spots and it always hitting everything around it. Makes you want to throw the wii-mote like a dart through the tv.
Shuffleboard, having not played it before, took me by surprise. It was definately the most competitive game on this disc, and surprisingly fun. It's a blast trying to get the farthest you can without going over and trying to knock off other people's discs. Definately the best game on here.
Trivia is kinda so-so. Not bad, but not great. You get asked questions in some topics like music, movies/tv, geography, etc. Nothing new or mindblowing, but something to pass the time.
OTHER THINGS THAT TICKED ME OFF: The multiplayer wasn't available in every game. The only ones with multiplayer were air hockey (2 players), Trivia (up to 4) and Shuffleboard (up to 4) and cup ball (2 players). One thing I like in games is being able to use my mii, which I can't do in this game, unless it's one of the unlockables which I haven't done yet.
In other words, you might have fun with a couple games, but it's not as great of a party as they make it out to be. Keep away...far far away!

Overall the game is awesome. So far the darts seems to be the leader in fun, but shuffle board is making a move to the top. If your looking for graphics or a challenge then keep looking. If you are just looking for a fun multi player game this is the one.
As far as breaking down each game.
Darts - Spot on, very fun. You will be good after one game of 701
Shuffle board - Pretty good as well. Takes some practice, but still easy.
Ping Cup (AKA Beer Pong) - Fun, but a little too easy. I hit 27 strait at one point.
Trivia - Fun, but common it's trivia.....nuf said
Skill Ball - Fun, and has a little toughness to it. Down side one player only.
Air Hockey - Kinda sorry, might as well play pong.
Hoop Shoot - Kinda dumb, you can just chuck away till the time is up. Buddy of mine had something stupid like 144 points.

Once you start playing each game, it becomes apparent quickly that some games are better than others. My family enjoys the trivia and darts while we absolutely hate ping cup. Very uneven title.

I was anxious to get this one home and start playing it. I was excited at first, but then the excitement turned into "this game is just OK" after only 20 minutes of play time.
The graphics aren't that good and the game play is OK at best.
Not all games are multiplayer like hoops and skill ball.
Darts and shuffleboard are our favorites and air hockey is moving up the list.
Another nice part of the game is the selection of characters you can chose from after they are unlocked. The Panda and Bombman are the crowd favorites in our house.
I picked this one up when Best Buy offered it as part of their "$19.99 games at 2 for $30." special. Glad that I saved a couple of bucks for it. It looks nice in my collection, but is now the least played.
If you are looking for something to get and keep the whole family playing, you may want to look elsewhere.

Darts! Skee Ball! A Trivia Game! Bar Shuffle Board! Beer Pong! What's not to like? A lot actually. This is a game specifically made for the Wii to take advantage of its revolutionary controller. Sadly, the controller does not work very well with the game. In fact, it is so touchy that game play is very inconsistent. The only part I can recommend is perhaps the trivia portion and, to a certain degree, the darts. Design wise. it is very much like other Mii driven games except for (shock dismay) you have to choose from a group of various odd looking Mii characters who look like they dropped out of Hipster U. Musically, there are some nice choices like the Irish bar music while playing darts. Overall, this game is an experiment in frustration and even though kids don't really get the bar subtext, it could be viewed by some as inappropriate.

I found this game hard to control and get the hang of what to do. Certainly not a game that you would spend hours and hours playing. But it can be fun for a short time or at parties.
Worth the money, but it wouldn't be worth it if it were any higher priced.

Game was fun, we especially liked the basketball, darts, & trivia. everything else is kinda hard to figure out! It's not like the REAL nintendo where there were tricks to do this or that, this is strictly off of movements! so its very limited there, other than that my family enjoys this game very much

in comparison to other games for the wii- i found this one to be the least innovative. i feel like this is the poor man's wiisports and really doesn't offer much as far as 'improving.' the response time is shotty when it comes to air hockey (for example)and i overall did not think i was worth the 20 dollars.
i love my wii- so i give it a star for that fact... but i gave it no more than 2, because it's rather disappointing..
