You will get pretty much get what you paid for. There are plenty of POIs and it is pretty good with directions. I have not had any problems thus far. The pink color and downloadable features are pretty cool.
The thing that I did not like about it was that it does not give you a warning bell before your exit comes which I think would be very helpful. There is also no full QWERTY keyboard option which takes a little longer to type if you are not used to using the regular ABC format. Those are the only two things that I did not like about this product. If you don't need those two things then I recommend this product.
All in all it is VERY basic but can be very helpful getting you where you need to go.

This is my first GPS purchase and the best little thing ever. I love it! I just moved to LA and it worked amazingly. Its very easy to use. I would suggest to anyone who's not very good with directions. This product is very fast. It relocates on a dime and knows every route.

I have a horrible sense of direction so my boyfriend bought me the pink nuvi for my birthday, aside from hearing about the color fading if left in the sun for long periods of time, (which really isn't a big deal because when I'm not driving, I just put it in the glove compartment so the color hasn't faded one bit), this GPS is awesome! It comes in adorable colors, the directions are clear, I love that it redirects if you miss an exit.
I can take long trips without being afraid of getting lost now!
I definitely recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to spend loads of money on a GPS because it's affordable and totally reliable. I've had it for over a year and have no had any problems.

This was the easiest to use navigation system I have ever used! I work in the auto industry and would recommednd this over any factory navigation system. The voice is loud enough to hear even with the radio on, the display screen is bright and colorful and the option to find local gas stations, banks, places to shop and places to eat is AMAZING!!! Not to mention that it comes in the cute pink color any girl would love! I would suggest this to any one looking for a reasonablly price dependable Navi. I have even let some of my customers know about it when they feel the factory navigation is too expensive for them. I LOVE MY NUVI 205!!!!!!

My girlfriend got this since she doesn't have any sense of direction whatsoever. It's really easy to use for her and the mounting is pretty simple. However, the maps and points of interests should be more updated since it still lags a little in that department. Registration was kind of a pain too but nothing too difficult. Overall, a great tool for those who get easily lost traveling or driving within a big city.

Reconsider a Garmin

I've had mine for over a year now and I'm very comfortable with it. Really easy access to recently viewed places, new addresses, POIs, etc. However, Terrible reception. It hardly ever places me on the road- usually 100 yards to the left or right of it. This causes confusion for me when its time to make a turn or continue when its trying to place me back on the road i am traveling. I've been looking several times for POIs that no longer exits because they closed years ago, yet i have the 2009 maps uploaded. It can take almost 5 minutes to start up and locate me, sometimes longer. All in all i don't think there is much wrong with this Nuvi, i believe it is Garmin that is short changing it. Its simple and easy - perfect for the user that just needs a quick quide while traveling. Except for when it confuses you, or worse, leads you down the wrong path.

Seeing how this is my very first GPS, I am very pleased with it; especially since I got it on sale.. $149. I love that I can input more than one home location, it can give my location with various places of intrest (other than restaruants). I also like that size of the display, not too overly big and not too small. The unit is very helpful when driving in DC,MD, VA. I do like how it does inform me to stay left or right, if the road has a fork, curves, splits into several lanes. My only downfall is that it does not tell you the street name, but it does tell you when to turn (etc, turn left 500ft..). And that it does not always give the most efficient route.. But all in all.. I am very pleased with it.
