This Garmin watch is great for kids. Parents who want to keep their kid's screen time down would like the fact that this watch does not play games, and encourages them to be physically active 60 minutes a day. While not made in the USA, it is made in Taiwan is nice.
I bought one in a Different Color for My Six Year old Grandson. He has had it awhile and Loves it. So I bought this Purple One for Our 3 Year old Grandaughter. She loves it. She tells Her Parents when its bedtime and insists to wear it to sleep. She gets lots of steps in day. Highly recommend!
My 10 year old loves tracking his steps and challenging his sister to races. He was very excited for the interactive game as well, unfortunately the game is within the parental control app and not something he can access without also being able to alter settings I have in place. I wish the kids game portion was an app I could load onto the kid's tablet.
Its a great gadget overall, just wish it had more icons for chores, i got it because my kid has ADD so it help with reminders, butbwhen therebare abfew more then a couple you need more individualized icons for tasks, also i wish it would allow me to type more in reminder. Its a great start if you dont want yo spend 200 on the i watch looking ones ore your kids is to young. For 60 bucks great gadget.
My daughter turned 6, and this was the perfect gift for her! She loves keeping track of her steps, and checking the time wherever we go :) She does wish she had the purple version, too, but is ecstatic to have the blue one!
Pros: the bands on the 2nd generation are adjustable. It’s water resistant. No need to charge. Kid friendly. Safe.
Cons: stops working after 18 months or so. Luckily we use the geek squad protection to repair or replace it.
A:AnswerBluetooth cannot be turned off. You could pair the device to your phone to set it up and then unpair it. It would track steps and sleep but not upload to the app. You may want to go to support.garmin.com where you'll find many FAQ's and video's on the functions of the device. You may also reach out to a product support specialist from that page.
