Great refrigerator. Easy to clean. Holds a lot more than my previous fridge of the same size. Only minus is that the door doesn't really close very well. You MUST make sure there is nothing close to the edge of the shelf or the door will pop back open. As well, when you close the refrigerator door if you have a lot in the freezer, the freezer door tends to pop open. As long as you are careful and I always double check...Otherwise, I am very happy with this refrigerator.
I like this refrigerator. I was surprised when I saw it for the first time (I bought it online) because it was smaller than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised on how many items can actually fit into the refrigerator.
Just recently bought a new house that was built in the 1950s and the space for the fridge was smaller than average. Based on the review and the width, I ordered this unit several weeks ago and have been very pleased with my purchase. It works very well at keeping things cold and it is not loud.
This refrigerator-freezer is well designed for maximum use of its interior space. The door can be hinged on either side which was a plus for me in the way the room is arranged. It is nice looking and works well.
No, it's not the biggest one, but it is Energy Star rated, which most of the smaller fridges are not. The interior is of course, sparkling, it's a new fridge, but also has more shelves in the door and the interior than expected. This works for me!
It's also very streamlined and tidy in the design of the exterior and this also works for me.
Finally, it is whisper quiet and I LOVE that about it!!!
I trust GE to work great and for a long time. Would definitely recommend this wonderful appliance!
A:AnswerHello - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. The height of the shelves depend upon which rail they are sitting on. This refrigerator offers two adjustable full-width glass shelves with trim. We hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
A:AnswerHi Kat, thanks for reaching out to us! We truly appreciate your interest in this fantastic top-freezer refrigerator and are happy to answer this question for you. Our garage-ready refrigerators are specially designed for use in a garage environment and have been extensively tested and proven to perform in ambient temperatures from 38°F to 110°F. They provide you with flexibility in location and are a great option for more extreme climates! These refrigerators can be identified by the "Dual Temp Control" option on the freezer air tower, which allows you to adjust the refrigerator and freezer controls during peak temperature swings to ensure the compressor operates frequently enough to keep stored food at safe temperatures. While this specific refrigerator is not a garage-ready model, we do offer a comparable refrigerator, model GTS19KGNRWW, that is! A:AnswerHi Drew - Thanks for reaching out! We appreciate your interest in this top-freezer refrigerator and are happy to offer you some guidance on noise. We do not perform a sound rating for our refrigerator models. While all our appliances are designed with the quietest operation in mind, the added technology and high-efficiency compressor found in newer refrigerators will cause some sound when operating. You can learn more about normal operating sounds that you may hear on page 14 of the Use and Care Manual. We hope that this helps! -Eliza@GEA
A:AnswerHello Carol - Thank you for reaching out about this excellent refrigerator. We are always happy to help.
The drawers can be accessed by opening the doors to 90 degrees. However, in order to remove the drawers for cleaning, the doors will need to open farther, by about 16".
We hope this helps. Keep in touch! - JB
A:AnswerHi Steph - When loading the refrigerator in a moving van, truck, etc., it is best to keep it standing upright to minimize possible damage to the sealed system or prevent damage to loose items. If laying the refrigerator down cannot be avoided, lay it on the side opposite the hinges so the door will remain closed (Top Freezer models). If it has been necessary to transport the refrigerator on its side, it should stand upright for an equal amount of time as it was on its side before plugging it in. If it was on its side for more than a day, leave standing for 24 hours before running.
