Q: What are the dimensions?

A: This unit's height is 61.75 inches, 28 inches wide and 29.5 inches deep.

Q: do you make any white fridge like the size of this 14.6 cu.ft in a smooth white finish...I do not like the textured at all. I am looking for one because my 50 yr old GE just died. I loved it but it is hard to find one my size which was small.

A: Hi jackty - We certainly appreciate your loyalty! We currently offer GE® ENERGY STAR® 11.6 cu. ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator GPE12FGKWW with smooth gloss doors. Approximate Product Dimensions (WxHxD) (in.) 24 in x 59 7/8 in x 28 5/8 in. Keep in touch! Sue

Q: My current refrigerator is 55 years old - really! I keep things until they are DEAD. Now that the fridge is on it's last legs, I have one question regarding this one: DO I NEED TO DEFROST IT? Or is it frost-free? Most probably are now...

A: Hi MowerGirl- Wow! We are excited to hear your GE refrigerator has provided you with wonderful service for the past 55 years. It sounds like you take great care of your appliances. GE® ENERGY STAR® 14.6 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator GTE15CTHRCC is frost-free (automatic defrost). We certainly appreciate your loyalty and glad to have you in the GE Appliances Family! Keep in touch- SUE@GEA

Q: does this come with a power cord

A: Hi albundy- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for your consideration! Our Top- Mount refrigerator power cords are about 5' - 6' in length. The cord comes out from the rear of the refrigerator, about 9" up from the floor and 3 1/2" over from the right as you face the front. We hope this is helpful. Thanks for checking with us!

Q: Hi - Does this refrigerator come with handles on the left (or the right)? If I need to switch the handles to the other side, does that comprise the tightness of the seal on the doors? Also does it cause a risk of having the doors not line up properly?

A: Hi BeachLady - Thanks for considering GE! GTE15CTHRBB is equipped with a right hand door meaning the hinges are on the right and the handle is on the left. The door swing is reversible and does not compromise the fit/door seal or door alignment. The instructions are provided in the Installation Guide at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60801-2.pdf - Keep in touch! Sue

Q: Need air circulation info. Can long bins go over holes in back of area above two pullout drawers. I do not think air circulates out of these holes. In refrigerator does air circulation just come out of the top back area

A: Hi pjm7249 - Thanks for viewing GE! The holes on the rear of the vegetable/fruit drawer cover allows for good air circulation through the drawers. We do not recommended covering these holes. Thanks for checking with us! Sue

Q: What is the running and the peak startup AMP draw of this refrigerator. Does it require a Pure Sine Wave current or will it run on Modified Sine Wave current

A: Hi J - The unit is 6.5 amps, which takes in account the highest draw, which is the defrost system (occurs twice a day). We do not test the unit on inverters, so we cannot comment on whether you would need a pure sine wave or a modified sine wave current. We recommend plugging it into a grounded 3-prong outlet on a 15 or 20 amp dedicated 120v circuit. Thanks for viewing GE! Sue

Q: Is the outside finish textured? And is it a quiet operating refrigerator?

A: Hi - Yes, the outside finish is textured. Also, you should be pleased with your choice. Our refrigerators continue to be manufactured with as quiet an operation as possible. We realize the kitchen is a popular gathering place. When the surrounding noise is low, you may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating. The type of installation, floor type (wood, tile, carpet) and room acoustics can all affect the normal operating sounds that you may hear. We'd love to have you in the GE Appliances Family and hope you'll place your trust in us! SUE@GEA
