Q: How do cancel a cycle on my dishwasher

A: Hi Vicki- Thanks for choosing GE! To cancel a wash cycle, press and hold the Start pad for 3 seconds. The dishwasher will drain, emit a beep sound, and the wash cycle light will turn OFF. For reference, see page 8 of the Owner's Manual at the following link: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55117.pdf - We hope this is helpful. Q: I am trying to replace a GE profile dishwasher, model pdw7800g00cc. Is this model similar in color and dimensions?

A: Hi - Thanks for continuing to make GE Appliances a part of your home! Yes, both models are the same Bisque color and install in the same standard cabinet space (24" Wide x 24" Deep Cutout). We suggest to view the Quick Specs at the following link: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=GDF520PGJ_PSJ_c2.pdf - We appreciate your loyalty. Enjoy! SUEatGEA

Q: Are there adjustable feet? If so, what's the min. height I can make the dishwasher? I have a 32.5" cutout from tile to the top of cutout, but If I can get the machine past the tile, i have an extra 1" of space (total of 33.5") once under the counter.

A: Hello Michael, I am happy to help. The dishwasher can be adjusted from 33-3/8" MIN. adj to 34-5/8" MAX. Please see the specs below: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-31572.pdf http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=GDF520PGJ_PSJ_c2.pdf We appreciate you checking with us. Q: How do i reset the wash settings on my GE Profile

A: Hello BRUBER, Thank you for reaching out. We're happy to answer your question. The dishwasher can not be reset once operation has begun, but the cycle can be cancelled and setting can be changed. To stop a cycle, simply press and hold the start pad for three seconds and close the door. The dishwasher will drain, beep, and the wash cycle will turn off. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA

Q: Does this dishwasher have a rinse only cycle?

A: Hello CDSJ - Thank you for reaching out about this excellent dishwasher. We apologize for the delay in getting back to you but will be happy to help. The model GDF520PGJWW does not offer a Rinse only cycle. It does have a light wash setting for smaller messes. Stay safe and keep in touch! - John@GEA

Q: I have the ge 24 front control dishwasher. I have tried everything but my glass wear is so spotty and even the while dishwasher is covered in white when it’s done washing. We have a water softener that works have used different detergent and rinse aid

A: Hi - We are happy to provide assistance. You will need to use less detergent if you have a water softener. The amount of detergent you use will be determined by the hardness of your water. Also, adjust the rinse aid dispenser to reduce the amount of rinse agent (turn counterclockwise). See page 9 of the Owner' Manual. See the chart on page 10 of the Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55117.pdf - Sandy grit left on dishes is from water not being hot enough to dissolve liquid or dry detergent. The water coming into the dishwasher should be a minimum of 120 degrees Fahrenheit. To check the water temperature, run the hot water at the kitchen sink and measure the temperature of the running water with a canning or meat thermometer. Adjust the temperature of the water heater accordingly. To be sure that the dishwasher is filling with the hottest possible water, run the hot water faucet at the kitchen sink prior to operating the dishwasher. Also, avoid running the dishwasher while hot water is being used for other activities.
