GE - 24" Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher - Stainless-Steel

After hours and hours trying to pick my new dishwasher, because my last one just started giving me problems after 9 years, so I knew the new one would be my best friend for the next 9 years or hopefully more. This dishwasher has a great size, sometimes I can't even tell if it is running, cleans very well. Top rack a bit unstable, but once it is filled I do not see a problem. Cycles now days run quite long with new dishwashers, but I found out the 1 hour cycle runs just as great when needed a fast wash!! It does say that it uses more energy, but it works for me. I only use when need items washed fast. But, to my surprise it cleans just as good as normal wash. It does not have a timer delay, in which I do not need. I want my dishes washed right away!! I was a bit hesitant with stainless steel due to marks at the door and getting dirty fast. But, it actually stays really nice and clean for quite a while!!! The only thing I miss is an indicator to show when cycle is done on the outside, but I just run it at night and I do not have any issues to know when it is done. I am very happy with this machine and I hope this helps future buyers, you will not regret if the features it has will fill your needs!!!

Attractive, quiet, cleans well (even dried on food with no prewashing). Shelving is fixed, so limited flexibility when stacking dishes inside. Top shelf does not move down like some higher priced machines. Heats & dries dishes reasonably, with just a little water left on top of cups. Hidden buttons are a great feature if you have kids. Inside is a little smaller than we expected. Overall a good, mid priced machine.

Most important it cleans dishes well. However, I specifically wanted one with heated dry as I didn't want to wait forever for newer models to dry. I found that the heated dry doesn't really dry as much as my older model did. Also, there is a rubbery smell that comes out which I was told was supposed to go away but been over 30 days. Typical for stainless steel inside I was told. All in all the most important thing is that it cleans the dishes well and is really quite.

We did our research on this for over a month and decided on this one. Was easy to install and had good directions. So far it cleans the and dries the dish well....much better than the LG one we bought from Best Buy 2 years ago. (Which by the way didnt clean as well and the pump broke after 2 years use, and believe me, we dont over use it!) And the LG one cost $200 more than this one. Hope the GE one will last longer, but so far so good.

This is a great dishwasher and very quiet. We have an open floor plan house so we needed one that was quiet and could run during the day. This one is very quiet and has just the features we needed. We wanted a heating cycle which many new dishwashers no longer offer. This dishwasher has the heating feature along with other good features, but not so many that I would never use them. It also has moveable tines on the bottom rack that accommodates big items like my crock pot. . Overall great dishwasher for the money.

Not all bells and whistles,but all I wanted. Reasonably quiet, cleans well. Has been what I wanted and expected. 6 months problem free to date.

Dishwasher looks nice, but does not do a great job cleaning. The dishwasher itself also gets very "dirty" looking inside, which did not happen with our previous machine, so it does not appear to be a water issue.
