Q: The light indicating that the burner is hot does not turn off at any time,What can I do?
A: We certainly want to help with the issue you're having with the Hot Surface indicator. We recommend disconnecting the appliance from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electrical components and can often resolve an issue. If the indicator still won't go off, even when the appliance hasn't been in use for 30 minutes to an hour, Bodewell (GE Appliances' team of appliance care experts) can be reached at 833-426-3393. Broke 2 Times in a Row. Poor Geek Squad Service.
The fuse for the infinite switch broke two times on two separate models. First cooktop: Switch broke after 6 moths and tripped the circuit. Second cooktop: Literal sparks flew inside the glass near the switch. Tripped the circuit breaker. Electrician tested the lines and circuit breaker after disconnecting cooktop, circuit breaker works fine. When reconnecting to the cooktop, trips the circuit. I have a 5 year Geek Squad Protection Plan. Geek Squad is refusing to do anything about this even though the plan activates DAY OF PURCHASE. They want me to contact GE. If both GSP and 1 Year Manufacturer Warranty run concurrently, why does the customer need to waste their time and coordinate between 2 entities?
