Beautiful range! Adds class to the kitchen.
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Beautiful range! The burners are sealed so nothing falls underneath the cook top. The only problem is the sealing lowers the flame so that it is not as hot as the unsealed burners. Also, there is no clock on this range.

Incorrect specifications
Posted .The specifications on this page state that this oven has a timer and timed bake, it does not. It does not appear to have a temperature preheat notification, either. It doesn’t even have the most basic clock. Why does GE even make this in 2021? I could understand if it was significantly lower cost than models with these features, but it isn’t. Best Buy - at least update the specifications section to accurately reflect this model.

Great Gas Range
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I love my new gas range. Only thing I have an issue with is the burners and caps. My range was installed on July 4th, and one burner is already messed up and 2 of the burner caps paint is coming off. I do not know what happened, but it does not look so good. I went to wash them and they looked horrible. Those are made cheap to me. Range however is beautiful and works great.

Second model with loose chrome trim and dent
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.The Chrome trim on the bottom of the oven door is not glued well. It seems to have been factory attached but continuously pops back up and sticks out despite pressing it back on. It's an eyesore and something could get caught on it and rip it off further. This was the second model that was delivered with the same problem! I paid more for the stainless steel. Had I known, I would have ordered the plain black model. Also it came dented on lower left side. The side and back panels seem very thin. As other reviewers have noted, the burner grates are very slippery. It's affordable and I like the simple design and features. However, I don't think that the item purchase price should necessarily reflect that lack of quality control is acceptable. Otherwise the burners and oven ignite well. I haven't used the oven yet or checked for temp accuracy. I will update this review if needed.

- A:Answer Hi - Thanks for viewing our GE Gas Ranges! Model JGBS30DEKWW has an electronic ignition system. The automatic pilotless ignition (also called automatic electric or automatic electronic ignition) saves energy by eliminating the task of lighting the burners. It also saves money by using 30% less gas than a standing pilot range. Because this system has no standing pilot light, no gas is being used unless it is needed. With the spark ignitor system, electricity simply sparks when control is turned to the LITE position. Gas is simultaneously released and ignites when it comes in contact with the spark. Should there be a power failure, the oven will not function but the burners may be lit with a match. Simply hold the match near the burner, turn the control to LITE. Exercise extreme caution when lighting the burners in this manner. The cooktop surface is cool to the touch when not in use because there is no pilot light burning continuously. The glow bar in the oven will cycle on and off with the oven temperature. We do not offer a model with a standing pilot. Also, check out our Hotpoint range model RGB518PCHWH with Cordless Ignition. A 9 volt battery supplies the power to the electronic igniters. Depending on the use of the range the battery is estimated to last 3 years. - A:Answer We appreciate you considering GE Appliances. I am happy to help. This model comes from the factory set for natural gas. A conversion kit is included to convert to LP. GE Appliances recommends a qualified installer or servicer convert the gas range, oven, or cooktop to the proper gas supply needed. The conversion must be in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and all codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. The conversion instructions are located in the wiring diagram (mini-manual) or included with the LP kit attached to the appliance near the pressure regulator. I hope this helps. - A:Answer Hi - Model JGBS30DEKWW is not equipped with a clock/timer. Models with no clock or timer do not have automatic shutdown. Most ovens and ranges with touch pad clock controls will automatically shut off after 12 hours. The benefit of this is the peace-of-mind and energy savings if the oven is accidentally left on. - A:Answer Hi JuliusL - The range has an electronic ignition, therefore, requires 120V/15A. The automatic pilotless ignition eliminates the need to light the burners. Q: QuestionAre there different burner tops available? The ones that came with the stove are very lightweight and don't stay in place. Also they're very slippery, pans slide far too easily.
