  • Features
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: How long is a typical cycle? Washing and drying.

A: At least an hour. Some cycles are 90 minutes.

Q: Thanks for the answers. I am looking for a GE Profile that does not have the chrome or plastic looking strip across the top front. Does one exist?

A: There is no strip across the front of ours, plastic nor chrome. If you are looking at the image of the dishwasher, you "may" be referring to the handle. It matches the brushed stainless of the unit we purchased. The way the unit is designed there is no way to avoid having the handle. So far, we love it!

Q: My Old dishwasher is a GE Profile 24-inch and needs to be replaced. Will this fit into the same area? Also is the interior including the bottom of the dishwasher completely stainless steel?

A: Hi there - Thanks for reaching out about this wonderful dishwasher! We would need the model number for your current unit to accurately determine if this model will fit in your space. Yes, the entire interior is stainless steel. Best wishes! -Mikayla@GEA

Q: My old ge dishwasher is: Model GDT655SSJ0SS Serial GH815893B Will this dishwasher come in the same color stainless? It seems darker than regular stainless. Will it have more capacity?

A: Hello, thank you for your question. The stainless steel finish of both dishwashers will be very similar, if not identical. The capacity of both dishwashers will also be somewhat similar. We hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any further questions or concerns you may have. -Chris@GEA

Q: Is there a quick wash option?

A: Hello dr2000! We appreciate your question. This unit has an Express wash option. This option will quickly wash dishes in 32 minutes. We hope this helps! Emily@GEA

Q: Is there an air dry mode? If not can the dry mode be skipped altogether?

A: Hi Maskmann - Thanks for considering GE Profile Model PDT845SSJSS! Yes, Power Dry Off shuts off the drying option. Dishes air dry naturally and energy is saved. We suggest opening the dishwasher door to speed drying. If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to ask, we are happy to help at GEAppliances.com! Sue
