Correct colors as you film under water with this GoPro blue water dive filter. The red tinted design compensates for blue water to deliver beautiful visuals, and the scratch-resistant optical-grade glass lasts through dive after dive. Designed for the HERO5 super suit, this GoPro blue water dive filter is easy to put in place.

  • Designed for use with the Super Suit housing for GoPro HERO5 Black: For a perfect fit.

Q: will this fit a hero4 session? thanks

A: As long as you have the housing for your Hero4 then yes it will fit just fine!

Q: Will this work for a Hero original (about 3-years old)?

A: Yes, this will fit your older GoPro if it fits a Super Suit.

Q: Does this slide on or snap onto the supersuit? Is there a lanyard to attach it in case it were to become disconnected? Is there air or water between the red lens and the supersuit when it is attached? Thank you

A: Lens snaps on tightly. Air fills the space, no problem with bubbles. You can always put on under water also to fill space with water, it yields the same results. Lens is glass - it is fragile.

Q: So, will it crack/break after 70' or something? I'm not sure I understand what can go wrong deeper than 70' Could someone explain? I need to know if I have to remove it before deeper dives.

A: This lens slides onto the supersuit, with a very slim pocket of water inbetween and cutouts for air/water exchange between the supersuit and the lens, so there is no pressure change involved and therefore no issue with dives deeper than 70'. I've taken it to about 110' with no problems.

Q: Would this filter be good for scuba diving in San Diego and the Baja Mexico area? Not sure of the water color there.

A: Yes, once the light starts to decrease as you go deeper, the blue water color takes over. This filter will help offset (color correction) the blue in the photos. I used the blue dive filter on the super suit and made a difference in the photos. Won't help at snorkeling depth, but definitely for diving below 15ft or more.
