A: I think it would. But first, you need to format the your micro SD card to be on the gopro file format. After installing the Quik app, and plugging your SD card in the first time on the phone, it'll say the file system is not compatible. This is when you format either a new SD card or an existing SD card to the gopro file format. Make sure you backup anything you have on SD cards before formating. Then I think you can use it on your trail cameras and be able to view pictures on your S8 via this adapter. I have tested this scenario with my Canon DSLR cameras. I've been able to use it that way. If it doesn't work, you can always return it back to best buy. :) I am happy with my purchase.

I bought this to be used with my Canon 5D. The 5D does take microSD with and SD adapter. Had a little trouble at first. But here is tip of the year. The trick is to format the Micro SD with a GoPro file system. Your android phone will ask if you want to format your new sd card. This means you should backup any thing you have on an existing SD card before formatting.. After you format it, the SD card works on both GoPro and my Canon 5D Mark IV. Freaking awesome and easy way to navigate the thousands of pictures. This makes sharing from DSLR much much easier. Highly recommended for anyone. I am using Canon 5D Mark IV, google pixel 2 xl, and Samsung micro SD with adapter. I also have the iPhone version of this. I am positive it works on that too because my wife is very happy :) The transfer and browsing speed is much faster than any wifi connection between DSLR and phone. Therefore, this is must have.

Love it
I love how it comes w8th this little cover and the cover has a clip. I clip it to my leg chain and I always have it with me. I use it for my go pro session so I don't have to go all the way home to view my videos.

Good Product
I recently purchased the new MacBook Pro 15" with touch bar and USB-C ports. I have several micro SD cards for work and home and I didn't want to lug around one of those multi-port USB HUBs. So, when I saw the GoPro Quik Key I had to have it. I love how compact it is and that it comes with a travel case that clips right to my key chain. I will be purchasing a second one soon.
