I named her Mabel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a complete beginner at stringed instruments. I've heard ukulele is easy and that's been true for the most part. It does take some tuning every few minutes right out of the box, but the longer you play around with it the longer it'll hold the notes. Great choice for beginners, for sure. The kit comes with a little theory book with a chord glossary in the back -- really handy.

Online description doesn't specify voicing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a soprano ukulele so it's quite small and I find it difficult to play clear chords with my thick fingers. The online description does not specify this but does give the dimensions of the instrument. Also says it includes a CD but no CD is included. What it does provide is a link to a website with the instructions. You can then download the files from the site and produce your own CD. You'll also have to tighten the screws on the back in order to get it to keep it in tune. Otherwise, it slips out of tune easily. Other than that, it's okay and is actually fun to play and has really good sound.

Great for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found this item on Deal of the day for a great sale price. It is not a top of the line uke by any means. But for someone starting out it's great! Comes with a learning manual and online training.

Enjoying this ukulele
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an impulse purchase when Best Buy had it on sale. When I saw it I thought it would be great for my 5-year-old granddaughter. I wouldn't say it's her favorite toy, but she does come back to it over and over. We haven't tried to play it very seriously yet, but it's on my list for us to learn together. Money well spent.

Learn somewhere over the rainbow and that's it
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Combination of wood, plastic, nylon which brings out a pretty terrible tone but doesn't really matter for your beginner ukulele player. They're not really going to care about tone or resignation so it really does get the job done. As far as the literature of having to learn the ukulele I feel like a lot of these types of kids get really strung up, pun intended, on music theory and learning notes when really all kids want to do is just rock out a little bit and learn some songs. And if you really want to get honest what they really want is to learn that somewhere over the rainbow song. So really that should just be the entire kit hey here's a ukulele and here are the tabs for that specific song, better yet, here's a YouTube video where you can learn it a lot easier

Hiccups...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So the price is great and got even better, but for the price it will not break the bank. Comes with software and lessons. Convenient size for portability. Quality sound for what you pay.

Everything you need to get started
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't have much experience with string instruments, but I feel this ukulele is a great choice (and inexpensive choice) for a beginner. Comes with everything you need to get started. If this becomes a long-time hobby... another more expensive ukulele can be bought.
