    Synopsis

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Young wizard-in-training Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) returns to Hogwarts for his fifth year of studies, only to find that the magical community seems to be in a curious state of denial about his recent encounter with the sinister Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) in the fifth installment of the popular fantasy film series based on the best-selling books by author J.K. Rowling. Rumor has it that the dreaded Lord Voldemort has returned, but Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge (Robert Hardy) isn't so sure what to make of all the hearsay currently floating around the campus of Hogwarts. Suspecting that Headmaster Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) may be fueling the rumors regarding Voldemort's return in order to undermine his authority and lay claim to his job, Fudge entrusts newly arrived Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) with the task of tracking Dumbledore and keeping a protective watch over the nervous student body. The young wizards of Hogwarts will need something much more effective than Umbridge's Ministry-approved course in defensive magic if they are to truly succeed in the extraordinary battle that lies ahead, however, and when the administration fails to provide the students with the tools that they will need to defend Hogwarts against the fearsome powers of the Dark Arts, Hermione (Emma Watson), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Harry take it upon themselves to recruit a small group of students to form "Dumbledore's Army" in preparation for the ultimate supernatural showdown. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

this is the darkest and grittiest harry potter yet. it earned its pg13 rating. the spaecial effects are great and so is the cast. the opening scene was great when they where in the tunnel under the highway. the final battle was great too, it was my favorite battle in all the harry potter movies. i dont read harry potter books and some people say that they messed this installment up cuz it wasnt like the book. weel i dont care because it was great and the blu-ray version makes it perfect. i want to see the next harry potter because this was my favorite of all of them. that proffessor in the pink might appear very nice but shes. the three reular main stars are still good. but this harry potter isnt for the little 5 or 6 year old. its much darker and grittier but not to scary. the style and tone just make it more intense. but be warned action fans. dont see this because you want to see harry potter doing die hard stuff. this probably has the least action in it out of all the harry potter movies but its still great. it more realistic in terms of what the characters do.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix is the fifth installment in the Harry Potter series, featuring Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger start out another year at the school of Hogwarts. What he didn't inspect is that he would be taken from his summer "home" with the Dursleys to go to a Secret Headquarts... of what, you just don't know... lol Well it turns out that his "godfather" Sirius Black, one and still known as a killer, but Harry found the truth prior to this and now knows that Sirius is on his side, is the owner of this special house. Sorry I'm not the secret keeper, so I can't tell you where it's located. Eventually Harry makes it to school, where everyone doubts that You-Know-Who has returned. But they soon find out how wrong they all were. Check out this movie to learn the truth.

Harry Potter Order Of The Phoenix

This is the 5th Harry Potter to come out, with all older characters, that we have grown to know throughout the series. There are also some new characters introduced, like the extremely annoying proffesor Dolores Umbridge. All of the Harry Potters have great storylines, amazing graphics, and you get to really love all or MOST, of the characters. The movie tends to start-out a little confusing, and boring, but picks-up with some great action scenes, flying bird/dragons, great magical feats. Plus you get really excited, with the impending showdown between Harry and Voldermort. But the showdown begins great, and ends kinda weakly. For this being the 5th movie in the series, and all the characters teenagers, it's as if the writers of the movie, were afraid to mature the characters, and wanted to keep them young.

By Far The Best Harry Potter Film!

I've seen all the Harry Potter films and read all the books (as of this writing that includes all 7 books of Harry Potter), I can honestly say Order of the Phoenix is the BEST movie of Harry Potter to date. The movie left all the Quidditch out... but let's face it, do we REALLY need the Quidditch? Can't the story be told as well without it. The answer is... YES!!!! The action was superb and the acting even better. The younger actors have really come out of their shell and feel comfortable in the roles they've performed since movie 1. I applaud the direction, special effects (especially the FIRE Snake via Voldemort), and of course, every actor who took part be it in a major role or a small bit part. BRAVO EVERYONE. Can't wait for movie 6 aka Half-Blood Prince.

You're probably not going to buy this blu ray unless you're already a fan of the Harry Potter series, and own most or all of the other films. But if you're wondering whether it's worth buying the first time on blu ray or upgrading from DVD, I'd say it definitely is worthwhile. Warner's has put a lot of care into the picture and sound on this disc, so the presentation is very good, particularly on a larger screen and with a surround sound setup. And if you appreciate the extras, there are some worthwhile bits here, as well. Plus, you get the digital copy!

A Let Down To Those Who Read The Novel

This film has great acting, action, settings, and special effects - all things asked for in a movie. However, to those who have read and loved the novel, this movie is a big let down. I was one of the people that voted on various sites that this movie should be shown in two parts so that half the novel doesn't have to be cut out. Unfortunately, the film was done as one and hence leaves out not just minor details, but major plot points and details key to understanding as to what is going on. I still gave it a 4 because if someone was watching the film but had not yet read the book - it is still very appealing.

couldn't help myself, with the 2/30 price I decided to get all the Potters. I am missing the sleeves for 2 of them though, and as I have the box collectors Blu-Rays I like the sleeves sitting next to them. online 2 of the 4 I ordered came with the sleeves, 2 did not. Obviously you know how much you like the movie itself, 4K w HDR helps for the later potters especially.

The film speaks for itself. The movie looks amazing in Ultra-HD and HDR. It is a must own for any Harry Potter Fan. The price is steep but well worth it. Don't Forget Best Buy Price Matches as well. I can't want for the next evolution. The film features DTS X audio on the Ultra-HD Blu-ray and DTS-HD 7.1 on the regular Blu-ray. The only downside is the digital download. At this moment Vudu nor iTunes have Harry Potter in 4k; only regular 1080p downloads.
