Q: Do I have to take a hearing test before using these rechargeable hearing aids?
A: For best results you should use the phone app and conduct a test. You can then apply those test results to your hearing aids for custom hearing experience to your particular condition. The app also allows you to chose preset listening environments as well as manually control volume settings. Volume levels right out the box are not set very high.
A: You don't have to use both.
Q: If I have small ears, can I trim the tubing before attaching the inserts, so they don't hang so low?
A: Hi Sally, thanks for your question! Only the retention lock should be trimmed on the thin-tubes. We offer small, medium, and large sizes of the thin-tubes if the default medium size is too long. Trimming the hollow part of the thin-tube will affect sound quality and may cause undesirable feedback.
Q: Can you adjust the frequency needed to improve hearing?
A: Yes, you can adjust different frequencies. However, I have moderate high frequency hearing loss and did not notice any improvement.
A: It does not hurt the hearing aids to leave them in the charger.
A: Important question! The HA-802 does not have wireless induction charging. Rather, it uses prongs to directly contact the aids to the cradle. The magnet helps with dexterity so that the device always sits correctly in the cradle. There is a small magnet at the bottom of the wearable device, and there is a magnet in each slot of the charging cradle.
