Q: The specs say analog tuner, does that mean I need a digital tuner to watch tv using an antenna?
A: It will decode digital HD signals through an antenna. That part of the specs concerned me as well before buying (Best Buy dropped the ball on updating their site) but I hooked it up this weekend and no issues. I honestly don't even think they make a new HD television that will not decode these days fyi

A: Hi, this TV comes with a digital QAM built-in tuner. You may want to check out www.antennaweb.org for your local channel listings and specifications.
A: What they mean is that if you have an 1080p signal as input for this TV, it will work. Some older HD TVs (720P) would only accept 1080i. The catch is that the TV native resolution is 720p, so it will downsample the 1080p signal for the 720p panel (same as for 1080i signals). Most video equipment will have an option for the resolution output, so this is irrelevant in pretty much all cases.
