Hocus Pocus [Includes Digital Copy] [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray/Blu-ray] [1993]

While hobgoblins may deem the plotline excessively ghoulish, screenwriters Mick Garris and Neil Cuthbert have outfitted it around some pleasingly splendid ingredients and subplots. Hocus Pocus centers around two new kids in town, a laid-back but brainy teenaged boy, Max (Ormi Katz), and his rambunctious 8-year-old sister Dani (Thora Birch). While stumbling through the pangs of adolescence and smitten by the smile of the town’s leading teen queen (Vinessa Shaw), Max must fend off not only the resident bullies but save his sister and all the other kids from the furies of the witches. It’s a lot for a kid to do.

I already own the Blu-ray to this movie, a family favorite during the month of October. Missed opportunity to get the Blu-ray steel book, which was the actual Booooooooooook design from the movie, but the artwork on this one, is really quite nice! Regardless, had to get this one on 4K, can't wait to watch it. Will update review once I do! Either way, for fans of this movie, a 4k upgrade should be worth the investment!

This is definitely one of my favorite movies from my childhood! Every Halloween it's tradition that I watch this movie at least once, and the fact that I finally own it is just thrilling! What's even better is that it's in 4K UHD for the first time every so that's pretty cool. It goes without saying that this new 4K resolution is gorgeous, and pleasing to the eye on my 4K UHD HDR ready television. Also this is my first steel book purchase so this is pretty neat.

Any lover of Halloween needs this Hocus Pocus Steelbook in their collection. I highly recommend getting this as it includes the Blu-ray and a digital download. Every BestBuy I went to was sold out of this constantly and finally I got lucky and found it. Hocus Pocus is a classic and the steelbook just makes it an all around great purchase.

One of the best Steelbooks Best Buy has put out to date. The finish on it is smooth and not streaky like some cheap matte finishes. There's spot glossing on the staples and the metal bits on the edge. The embossing is well done. And if you're lucky enough to find it for $12.99, you're getting a great deal.
