Not good at all
Posted .Features
Quality1 out of 5Value1 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This heater is not strong for any room size. You have to be directly near it to feel anything. I bought a $20 small heater that does a better job. Not worth 60 plus dollars.

Great Buy ! Honeywell Home Electric Heater Black
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Great Buy ! Honeywell Home Electric Heater Black. I have a Dyson heater; it oscillates, has a remote control, adjustable fan, and heats during the winter and cools during the summer. I like it a lot - except that the heat temperature is no longer adjustable. The cost to fix is not acceptable - so I will continue to use it during the summer months for the cooling that it provides. This Honeywell heater has been a great alternative to the Dyson - I did look at getting a new Dyson, but I could buy 2 Honeywell heaters for less than the cost of 1 Dyson. The Honeywell heater has been great!!! I don't need it to oscillate; I don't need the remote control, and I don't need the cooling feature. The heat from this unit is fast generating and the settings are simple. The heat provided is great and warms you and your area up in no time. I use it in my living room which is about 500-600 square feet - but I don't need the whole room warmed up, just the area that I'm occupying, so it does what I need it to do. ...and if you knock it over, it automatically goes off - I know because I already knocked it over. The unit is very light weight and is easy to move from room to room if you want. If you are looking for a great and easy to use heater, this Honeywell Home Electric Heater is a great choice!

Excellent space heater
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWhen my battle axe space heater finally quit, it was time for me to bite the bullet and purchase a new one. I scanned Best Buy and other sites for something relatively inexpensive but something that would heat my computer room in my basement and the secondary bedroom. Both can get quite chilly on cold days when we don't want to over heat the entire house. When I came across the Honeywell Heat Genius, I chuckled at the marketing. It was at the top of my monetary threshold. The battle axe had fewer settings but at the same time had too many. It was only useful when the resistance wires were turned on at full blast. I discovered elsewhere ceramic heaters could be self-regulating and they wouldn't get red-hot to work, thereby making them safer. I decided to give Honeywell a try. Giving the bottom line first, it heated both spaces very well. It is quieter than the battle axe ever was. It is lighter, too. And, lo and behold, the various settings were useful and easily intuitive. One of the settings offers the ability for the upper and lower elements to be on simultaneously or separately. I use the lower element only when the tile floor is cold but the room is not so bad. I use the upper element only for the bedroom on similar conditions. One can also set the heater independently on high or low, or set the heater to a temperature setting. The latter may not be so useful if heating a limited area of a larger room, but it is useful for my purposes. Another setting is the countdown feature. One can set the heater to turn off to as much as two hours later in 30 minute increments. I used it once set to one hour when going to sleep. It did its job. The final setting is one I tested to see if it works -- it did work -- but I haven't really used it yet. That setting is the quiet setting. From what I can tell, it means the heater is on and radiates the area without the fan actually being on as well. The heater is fairly quiet already which is why I haven't actually used this setting in practice yet. It is still-of-the-night quiet in this setting, so I can see I might use this setting if on a conference call while teleworking. There are less expensive heaters but they mostly newer versions of my battle axe. The more expensive heaters seem to be more robust and may be worth the money if a real large area (like my entire basement or living room) needs to heated solely with a portable unit. This heater suits my needs perfectly.

Nice little heater - best one I have owned
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Enjoying this heater so far. It's much quieter than my old space heater. More compact too. It's smaller than it looks in the photo. It seems to be very safe. The surface areas don't get hot and it shuts down if just wobbled. It has most of the settings you would need in a simple heater. In fact more settings than I even need (i just turn it on/off til i'm warm). But for those who want to control more exactly the heat levels, phases, and shut off times this unit has that. I have only needed it on Low so far which is still pretty warm when you're right next to it. The only thing I miss is that my old heater had mechanical dials, which you could set once and they would just stay that way. With this heater (and most newer heaters) they are all digital so you lose the settings when you turn it off; would be nice if your last settings could be saved. Other than that, I see nothing negative about this heater so far.

Good efficient floor heater
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5A good size, study and seems to be working well. Just wish it had more than high and low heat settings however you can set a timer to adjust tge high heat to low once the room reaches a desired temp which is set on the heater. That’s a nice feature. Bought this for my husband and am still leaning the settings.

Q: QuestionWhat is the max temp it can go up to? Can I set the temp or will have to choose a heat level? Also how bad is the sound?

Q: QuestionDoes the heater need to be plugged in to be in use?
Asked by Allie.
- A:Answer No, actually, this model works by efficiently finding free radical electrons in the air surrounding and exiting your head. Obviously, since you asked this ridiculous question, the only thing in your head IS air. Good for you though. Apparently, this heater will cost you nothing to use....

Q: QuestionWe have a plug-in outdoors. Will this work outdoors on deck when chilly???
Asked by berry.
- A:Answer Hello, You want to use a heater outdoors? ...and heat what? The air around you? This heater is probably not to be used for the application that you are "thinking" about - since there is no mention of the "usage" in your question, other than "can it be used outdoors". More specifically, what exactly do you want to heat outside? I doubt that you will feel any warmth from this heater outside. Blankets; a nice warm jacket; a fire pit; all of these will keep you warm outside on a chilly night. A heater that blows warm air into the great outdoors? Probably not. Happy Holidays!

Q: QuestionIs this heater easy to move around from room to room? Or to carry up or down the stairs?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes very compact and doesn't weigh that much. And it also has a gap at the top back for you to hold it. My wife and I are expecting in 4 weeks and she is able to carry it up stairs.

Q: QuestionHow does this heat? Heated Coils with a fan. Tip over shut off? I want to keep in basement to protect pipes in house extension. Would be unattended. Worried about fire hazard. Using a oil heated radiator at the moment. Would like to use a smaller unit
Asked by Fubarlee.
- A:Answer Thank you for your inquiry. This heater uses a ceramic heating element and does have a tip over switch. However, this unit is made for supplemental heating in a dry, indoor location. This is not made to heat pipes to keep them from freezing.
