This skateboard takes a lot of the effort out of skate boarding/long boarding. The cruise settings allow you to keep speed without having to push with your feet constantly. Cruising on mostly flat ground is what this board is meant for and it does this very very well. Would give five stars if cruising on flat ground was all I wanted to do. Pros: 1. Easily sets into one of the three gears for cruising. 2. Maintains speed well when going on flat ground or downhill. 3. Easy to activate brakes and they work well. 4. Smooth ride, good turn radius. 5. Handle on the side makes it easy to carry. 6. Can turn off motor and use as normal skateboard/longboard. 7. Change gears by simply lifting heel off sensor. 8. Maintains battery well when cruising. Cons: 1. Very sensitive sensor, slight movements of foot can cause unwanted change in gear or even brake activation. Takes getting used to change between gears but once figured out is simple. 2. If going downhill and brakes activate or you go from third to first gear by accident (which did happen with the sensitive sensor) I dangerously lurched forward off the board. - Personally would not recommend if you think you will be going downhill and having to brake at all or you can just use it as a normal longboard in these situations 3. Does not go uphill well. The manual says a 12 degree incline can be done but this isn't really even uphill in my book. Any attempt to go up a hill you will have to push kick at some point. 4. When push kicking uphill if your foot was on the sensor once you take it off to push kick the brakes activate. This again makes you lurch forward. Can't really push kick at anytime while motor is activated without brakes being activated. 5. Some kind of indicator of what gear the longboard is in would be very helpful. 6. The two modes labeled "Cruise mode" and "Brake mode", activated by button on motor, made no sense to me.

This is the first experience that I have had riding an electric skateboard and I have been impressed with this board thus far. I have used it to go to class and to ride around campus. The board's design makes it easy to carry when you are not riding it and the long battery life is very convenient. Once you get started moving, it is very easy to control your speed. I was hesitant to purchase this product at first not knowing how much control the user has over the speed of the board but I am happy I decided to go with Hover-1 Cruze Electric Skateboard. After an initial 10 minutes of figuring out how the board worked, I felt comfortable riding it anywhere around campus. Overall I was very pleased with this purchase. This is an innovative way to get around campus that I can see being utilized more in the future.

Right out of the box, this skateboard is easy to enjoy. The first thing I read on the Hover box was that 'Safety is our priority'. The skateboard felt very safe and easy to maneuver. It rides much like a normal skateboard and gently adds power to the wheels when your rear foot is in a certain spot. It's very easy and fun to ride. I have no problems letting any of my kids or their friends try this out. The board is rigid but easy enough to steer by gently shifting your weight on your toes or heels to turn left or right. Highly recommend! Great product!!
