How about a Director's Cut already!
This one is a classic!
The reason I'm only given it three stars is the lack of extra footage. I'd like to see all the deleted scenes put back in the film to make it an even greater film for all the fans out there. There is about 23 minutes of footage or more that never made it into the final cut. Example - The lighting contest scene! I want to see the extra footage on a 4K release as the tv networks show! How about a Director's Cut already! One would think the Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas 20th Anniversary Edition 4K (SteelBook) would be loaded with deleted and more deleted scenes. This just isn't a new gift but a regifted one.
Yeah, this might not be the best adaptation of the book on paper. But Jim Carrey still owns the role of the Grinch and makes it super enjoyable regardless.
Most certainly better than the Illumination one, too.
