Q: If you like to store a lot of pictures will the 8GM of memory be enough memory?
A: RAM memory has nothing to do with pic storage...... it does have a massive 1 TB storage for everything....including pics....more than any normal human would need...
A: I chatted online the other day with Best Buy regarding this same thing and they looked into and in fact it does have a webcam and they were going to submit a request to fix that error in reported info.
Q: does this PC have a CD drive and if so is it R or R/W
A: This computer has a combo CD/DVD drive that reads and writes to both R format and R/W format.
Q: What is the maximum amount of memory that can be installed?
A: currently 1x 8GB module installed, but it can handle 16GB. I think it can handle 2x 8GB modules (think) http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Memory-RAM/m-p/6068171
Q: Main question: Is this laptop a NEW or REFURBISHED ?? Thank you.
A: This laptop is new not refurbished.
Q: Is it capable of using ac wireless technology
A: This includes Wi-Fi 802.11n, with b/g/n support. Does not include support for ac, or a. I suspect this supports only 2.4GHz band, single band only; since specs do not include "a" which requires 5GHz band, so likely does not support 5GHz; I have not confirmed this for sure. Can HP rep/expert confirm the full specs & capability of the WI-FI in this? & What upgrade options are available (external & internal)? I don't know why someone answered yes. It maybe because question asked if capable. To support Wi-Fi ac, would need to add or upgrade. Like external adapter (USB, etc.). Or internal card replacement, assuming this has a slot for it (I have not looked up or confirmed this).
Q: Does this laptop have a touchscreen?
A: No, this model does not have a touchscreen.
A: The battery capacity is 31WHr, which is comparatively a low capacity (nearly the lowest that laptops around this size come with). I doubt it can come close to 6 hours, unless you do little with it during that time, put in heavy power saving modes (or turn several devices off, lower screen brightness, etc.). I would expect more like 3-4 hours, some reviews even indicate around 2 hours. The manufacturer provides a spec of 6 hours, which seems like an ideal max, not average, & likely not realistic to average usage. Check & search reviews, & online test, review, & spec(specification) sites. The best info is from people who have tested or used it (when manufacturer does not give realistic usage info, like in this case). For better reliability & trustwirrhubess, go by what most people say.
