A: For 144Hz you need to go to your Windows display settings, hit the Advanced Display settings button at the bottom of the page. Under the monitor listing, hit Display adapter properties for display #. In the pop up hit the monitor tab, and change the drop down menu to 144Hz. For the 1 ms you need to navigate the monitor's OSD menu. It's under Menu>Image Control>Response Time
A: In the OSD or menu there is a option for "Power control" within that option there is a "Ambient Lighting" option and you can change it there. Hope that helps.
Q: is there volume on this monitor?
A: No it does not have volume control.
Q: Can i change the lights on the bottom of the monitor from green to blue?
A: No after looking around its only 1 green light below the HP logo
A: Yes you can, through HDMI. You would have to hook up speakers/headphones to the audio jack on the monitor to take advantage of HDMI transmitted stereo sound, or just rely on the sound through a headset directly on your console, i.e. on an Xbox One, plug in a headset to the wireless controller and listen to the game audio through that. You might have to make some adjustments to sound sliders in the settings to get the game audio to be what you want it.
Q: How do I turn on all the ambient lights? Only the middle one lights up
A: The side "lights" are just decorative translucent accents. They do not light up - only the center section lights up.
Q: So how do you turn on the volume?
A: monitor has no speakers
