A: Yes, the HP 460-p274 does support 5.1 audio. To enable 5.1 audio, start the "HP Audio Control App" ( press the windows key and type audio to find it ) then select the "Listening Experience" -> "Speaker Configuration" screen. In the speaker selection pull down select "5.1 Speaker". When setup for 5.1 audio, the Line-in and Mic jacks on the back are converted to "Side Speaker Out" and "Center/Subwoofer Speaker out. This can be verified by hovering with your mouse over the "Back Panel" connectors shown at the bottom of the Speaker Configuration screen.
