I've been using a HP48G for about the last twenty years and finally decided to upgrade. Ever since I got this calculator the other students, who own TI's, have thought much less of their calculators and are contemplating upgrading to the HP Prime as well.

Although it has a very powerful software, I miss the quality that was found on my other calculators, specially the HP48GX.

I have used hp calcs for years - started with the 48sx - which I have used until now - This calculator has good ergonomics and a good user interface. Does all the things it needs to do and does them well.
A:AnswerIt has both. The user interface on this new hp is a little different from previous models 50g, 49, 48, etc), but in the Home mode you can choose RPN that works just like the previous hps. In CAS mode you can only use algwbraic. This is a GREAT calculator, but don't get the $139 model, it is the old hardware version. Get the $149 model (gx892aa), it is the latest hardware.
