Decent 144hz monitor/Worked with laptop setup
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for two of my siblings one at the store and another online for a mobile gaming setup and its pretty good and it worked flawlessly. The monitor's HDMI supported the full refresh rate to 144hz and havent encounter any problems. The colors is excellent plus has multiple color settings plus a custom one you can make for yourself as well. Bought it when it was on sale for $149.99 and it was totally worth it.

Excellent budget IPS monitor, get it on sale tho!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this monitor for 2 months as of writing this review and I'm really satisfied with it so far. Bought it during the holidays on sale for $150, at that price it's definitely worth it and I'd highly recommend it. This is my first real gaming monitor tho, apart from the 300hz screen of my HP Omen laptop, so that's pretty much all I have for comparison. Here's my thoughts about the monitor: - The colors, viewing angles, response time (1ms GtG), and refresh rate are all great, so this monitor is perfect for gaming and graphic sensitive work. It gets super bright IMO (up to 350nits) and I have to use it at lvl 50 most of the time. There's not much backlight bleed or harsh IPS glow either, at least on the one I got. - No built-in speakers so you'll need to add them separately, honestly it's better to add your own either way cuz the stuff that comes built-in is almost always garbage (I'm using a Bomaker Tapio I mini soundbar and it's perfect for my usage). - The monitor has one HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.2, and a 3.5mm AUX port, I think there's a kensington lock thing too (I wish it had a second HDMI port but ehh I can just use a splitter, also wish it came with a DP cable too). - The HDMI 2.0 port supports 144hz but you'll still need to change the display settings first. I'm using this as a secondary monitor for my HP Omen with RTX2060 and it is capable of G-sync over DisplayPort, you just need to enable it in the NVIDIA Control Panel. - It's not mentioned anywhere but the monitor can rotate (90° clockwise only) and it has menu options accommodating the portrait position, it's a nice feature to have especially for a secondary monitor. - To access the on screen menu there's 4 bottom facing tactile buttons and they can be customized to open different settings; I'd honestly prefer the joystick style interface but the buttons aren't that bad, I did get mixed up with hitting enter and back for a while tho. - The build quality of the monitor seems good yet basic, the bezels are pretty thin but the body/enclosure of the screen is kinda chunky in depth. Actually I've seen a few other HP monitors that use nearly the exact same design (24X and VH240a) - The stand section has some nice features like the portrait rotation, up/down pivot, and 110mm height adjustment, but there's just a hole for cable routing and the base is pretty much a square, also no headphone hook or anything fancy, I do like how it has a quick button lock for attaching to the monitor tho (toolless assembly). TLDR; it's a really good monitor overall, not just for gaming, and especially so if you can get it at a decent price on sale.

Great Buy, but only not at $250 MSRP
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP x24ih User Review I haven't been able to find any formal reviews of this, So I'll try and do a more in-depth review of this monitor. First off, It's shipped with an HDMI cable. HDMI does support 120hz, so it should support Xbox one X and PS5. Freesync works with Nvidia GPUs. ***Features*** 4 Buttons that control the OSD (on-screen display). Customizable crosshair. Colors and type can be changed, but not the size. <image> Framerate display that you can change the color and position of. <image> No Backlight strobing option. No built-in speakers. Multi-monitor align, I havent touched this yet. **Response time (Overdrive settings)** After some time testing the various overdrive settings, ***level 2*** seems to be the best from about 75hz - 144hz. There is some amount of overshoot causing inverse ghosting lower than 75hz, though this isn't noticable in-game. This is the option I'm currently using at all times. <Image> - ***Level 1*** has great performance <100hz and under and if you're locked to 60hz. It does have some ghosting/slight blur trails at 144hz. <image> - ***Level 3*** locked 144hz there is some inverse ghosting, it wasn't that noticable in-game. Anything lower than 144hz has very noticable inverse ghosting. <image> - ***Level 4*** overdrive is unusable and only there for marketing 1ms response times - stupid amounts of overshoot causing *VERY* noticable inverse ghosting. <image> **Overclocking** - For overclocking I was only able to get up to **146hz** testing with both Nvidia control panel and CRU (custom resolution utility). So don't get your hopes up for this being an overclocker. **Ports** - It has 1 HDMI(2.0) port, 1 Display Port(1.2), and 1 Headphone Jack (3.5mm) and no USB ports. **Colors** I don't have any professional testing equipment, but the colors don't seem too that bad. It has a low blue light mode. **Backlight Bleed/IPS Glow** There is some backlight bleeding to the top left and bottom right of my unit, but this is only noticeable on a completely blackscreen. ###***Conclusion*** Overall a great monitor if you got it for $150, but probably not worth it at $250 MSRP. I know I skipped out a lot of details like other specs and IPS viewing angles and and all that, but thats information you can easily find online. I wanted to cover things that can't easily be found on a spec sheet.

Never going back to 60 hz
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is like butter. After going to a 144hz monitor, I don't think I'll ever be able to go back. While I do not think that the 1ms response time is truly accurate, since IPS screens can't really achieve that response time when measuring white to black pixel change - but is possible when measuring white to grey in ips displays. Performance: - Colors are vibrant - Response time is fantastic - Freesync works perfectly: I never have any issues with screen tearing. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the assembly was. Neck just clicks into place and the base attaches with a single screw!

Good Entry Level Gaming Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased two of these to upgrade from my old 22" Dell 60hz, 5ms response time monitors. I wanted something with a faster response time for gaming (even though I'm a casual gamer), a higher refresh rate and a height adjustable stand. The other factor that I used to make my decision was the ability to adjust the tilt and rotation of the included stand. Even though I would most likely never rotate the stand 90 degrees, it is a nice feature to have in case I ever needed it. The colors are good enough for what I do as a home user and casual gamer. I did notice some light bleed in the upper left corner of the screen when I had a black screen up, but I can live with it. When gaming the 144hz refresh rate makes my gaming buttery smooth. I would recommend this monitor if you can purchase it on sale. Otherwise, there are other options that have a longer manufacturer's warranty (HP only offers 1 year, but I bought the 4 year Geek Squad Protection Plan) and other features such as 165hz refresh rate. NOTE: This monitor also does not have a joystick control for the monitor adjustments. There are 4 buttons at the bottom of the screen next to the power button for those features. HP also has the HP Display Center App which can be used to adjust monitor settings for those that don't want to be bothered with the buttons.

Q: QuestionHow many inches tall is it IF it is adjusted all the way to its shortest/lowest height? I have a 15.5" height in an existing desk that I'm trying to fit it into. Thank you.
Asked by SaintNick.
- A:Answer According to the user manual, the height with the screen in the lowest position is 14.96 inches, so just about 15 inches. Looks like it will be close but it will fit. I have mine mounted on a dual monitor desk mount or else I would personally measure for you!

Q: QuestionThe hdmi cable that comes with this monitor how many fps supoorts?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It comes with HDMI only. It supports up to 144hz, but 120hz with gsync. Not a major problem, I've been using it without gsync and haven't noticed much tearing.
