A: I have travelled all over the world with this sleeve over my MacBook. Most of the time, over 90%, I have left the sleeve ON, and it was Okay!!! Sometimes, rarely, security officers want you to switch on your device and take a look at the screen; in which case, of course, the sleeve has to come OFF. Hope this answers your question!!!

This case does what it advertises but make sure you read the fine print on the box. Some are speedo ally designed for the retna screen and others are not. I almost got the wrong one for my MacBookpro 13" retna. I use this case to protect my mackbook pro when I'm at school and when it's in my back pack. I have accidentlt droppedy back back 5 feet off the ground while my mackbook was inside and the case protected it not even a scratch. It's not the most rigid for extreme protection but it's smooth and giving so it doesn't tear up my books either.

Good case
I have not extensively used this case, but am glad to have it. It has a sort of gel/memory foam exterior that makes me think if I were to drop it, my computer would have at least some safety. The inside is incredibly soft plush, to prevent scratching. Thankfully I haven't dropped my computer, either with it inside or outside. Because of this, though, I don't know how it would be in a fall. I do use this whenever I take my laptop out of my house, and it prevents heavy books in my bag from crushing it, and keeps it separate. If you are accident prone, you may want a better laptop case, but for someone careful this is a great case, feels good, looks good, and fits great.
