I bought this cable to go between my computer and my printer. I was totally stunned with the cable. Each of the ends of this cable mated to the ports on both my printer and computer without requiring any machining or re-engineering. I stretched the cable to its full length and measured it. It was the advertised length! I attached the cable and turned the devices on. I sent some data down the cable and each byte seems to have arrived in the correct order and without stopping off at the bar to pick up some additional electrons. Of all the cables I've ever used this one is the latest one to perform as advertised! I would highly recommend this cable if you need to physically hook up one device to another. Of course I'd recommend any cable that did what it was supposed to...

I had to purchase this cable for my printer because the original finally gave out after 5years of pretty brutal use( brutal in terms of how excessive one could possibly use a printer cable). I move around and work in the field a lot so durability is crucial to me, like I said the original lasted many years and this new one is manufactured to what seems to me to be at least twice as good as the other one so I would suspect it to surely outlive that 5yr mark. The one I purchased is the longer version because I spin around my office and field tables going through docs while printing and it has been serving me well this far so I'd definitely reccomend it to anyone needing something well-built. As for the price however I was disappointed with the 35$ price tag but again if I don't have to replace it for at least 5 years then it is worth every penny not having to worry about it becoming faulty in a crunch when I'm no where close to a retailer selling these...

Pretty expensive for a under insulated USB cable

Not much to be said about a USB power cable. Either it works or not. Well....not really. I used this cable to power a small Raspberry Pi and it worked fine usually. When I used it near other electronics there was some definite interference which caused interruptions and signal loss. Like I said, very expensive for such a thin amount of insulation. I bought this cable at my local Best Buy because I needed it quickly but would not do so again. I have since replaced this cable with one of much higher quality much cheaper.

I bought this because I lost my original USB cable that came with my device. I needed to be able to access the HD drive that I removed from my iMac in order to restore my data onto my installed 4TB HD drive. I had a device to do it, but no longer had the supplied cable. This cable worked flawlessly. The device ( Thermaltake BlacX Duet, external 2.5"/ 3.5" SATA HDD eSATA & USB Docking Station) was purchased previously from Best Buy. Read and write to two 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drives or solid state drives at once with this Thermaltake BlacX ST0014U-C docking station, which offers a hot-swappable design to ensure rapid file transfers via the eSATA or USB interface.

We weren't able to use our new wireless printer wirelessly, due to a problem with our wireless router (something about a problem with ports?-- we have no idea 'what' that even means?!). So we needed a USB cable, in order to connect the printer directly to our computer. Best Buy had exactly what we needed, and the printer is now working perfectly! (We appreciated the assistance of a Best Buy employee during our visit, since we weren't certain 'which' cable to purchase-- we aren't very tech-savvy!; she knew right away what we needed, and led us directly to the product). Many thanks to Best Buy and their well-trained staff!

My HP Envy refuses to recognize that it is physically attached to my 5-yr old Dell PC no matter which USB port I plug into. Spent 3 hrs with Geek Squad to no avail. The HP printer sporadically recognizes when it is hooked to the new Asus PC; the rest of the time the printer is "off-line". At least the the Asus recognizes the networked HP printer. I do not believe it's the cable's fault - but rather the HP Envy. Maybe that is why its sold without a printer cable anymore!

This is a very specific cable not used too commonly anymore, I personally needed it to connect my Yamaha Keyboard to my Desktop PC so that I can produce music on Ableton, that being said it is generally used for printers and fax machines I believe, the best part of this cable is the length of the cord and that it works, but I have to admit I found it to be rather pricey and did find it for cheaper elsewhere. (I would recommend this cable, but to buy it at a lower price)

Bought this cable so my wife could hook up her new printer to her laptop. In today's tech world the printer company couldn't be bothered to include a cable that was capable of attaching to today's thinner, leaner (no disk drive, minimal hookup) laptops. Alternate way of attaching was with a male to male A/B hookup not included. Best Buy to the rescue with the right cable to allow printer to plug &play install the needed drivers for the scanner and copier functions of the printer. Got it for a cheaper price (and didn't have to pay shipping) than another "wholesale" computer parts store.
