It delivers what it was intended to do.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is what in historic times was called a "patch cord". If you prefer, a data extension cord. It's as close as anything can be to being totally foolproof. In my case it extends my printer data cable an extra six feet so that the printer can be placed where designed on my desk's hutch, and still reach the desk pedestal wherein sits the CPU. It simply works!

Fast as direct connection
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I highly recommend as it a great cable at a nice price. I ran a speed test using a SSD pci-e external drive directly connected to USB 3.0 and then using this extension cable. The speeds were nearly identical (see attached pics). Just plug it in and go.... The cable is very thick and the connectors are very thick/beefy as well. The thickness of the cable does make it a tad difficult to manipulate but thats really nick picking.

Quality cable offers maximum convenience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good quality USB 3.0 extension cable. I needed to access a port on my computer but without the inconvenience of having to reach around to the back every time I wanted to use it. This cable easily solves this problem. :-)

Extend My Reach for my Camcorder
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cables worked great in providing power to my Sony HDR-CX240 camcorder. I needed a longer cable so I could keep my power charged until I need to use my device as an overhead camera for my stream.

Q: QuestionWhy does the description say a max data transfer rate of 480 mbps/sec if it doesn't alter the speed in any way as indicated in answers below? Like for example if I connect a cable with 10Gps/sec transfer rate what speed will I end up with?
Asked by blahxblah.
- A:Answer The information needs some corrections made to it. In the Overview it says 480MB/sec (megabytes) and then later it says 480 Mb(megabits), which is the maximum data rate of the older 2.0 standard. This cable IS usb 2.0 compatible or should be. In the specs it say 625 megabytes (MB) data rate. Here is the industry-standard breakdown: The old USB 2.0 standard can theoretically transfer data at a very high 480 megabits per second (mbps), or 60 megabytes per second (MBps). The newer USB 3.0 can handle up to 5gbps (640MBps)—over ten times as fast as the 2.0. In this length cable your speeds, depending on what is on both ends of the cable, will be less most of the time but in the ballpark if you are watching transfer details..

Q: QuestionI need a cable like this so I can get power to my Amazon Firestick from my power conditioner/surge protector, but I need to run it through the wall. Will this cable work? If not, can you recommend another?
Asked by lion3221.
- A:Answer I don’t see why not but I believe a usb 2.0 would work as well and be less expensive.

Q: QuestionIs this cord compatible with the LG Stylo 5 phone?
Asked by MK.
- A:Answer This is just an extender cable. It does not alter the data in any way. If a standard USB cable works with the phone, adding this extender should not change any thing other than giving you an extra 12 feet of cord. NOTE!! It does not replace a USB cable. It just adds 12 feet to the existing cable.
