Q: What is the inner pot made of? Is it stainless, or non-stick?
A: Hi DenDen. The inner pot is made of 18/8, food-grade 304 stainless steel, compliant to FDA standards. There is a washable, non-toxic wax-compound polish on the inner pot, for sparkle. Bottom of the inner pot is 3 layers: 304 stainless steel, aluminum, and 304 stainless steel. 304 stainless steel has trace amounts of nickel, which causes the alloy to be inert and nonmagnetic. We hope this is helpful!
Q: How many mason jars can I get in it to pressure cook...quart size
A: Hello Larry. You can use the Duo model for what's known as "water boil canning". However, please ensure that you do not pressure can in this model. Pressure canning requires a minimum 15psi, whereas the Duo is only rated up to 12 psi. This means that it does not reach pressures for safe pressure canning. A 6 quart Instant Pot can fit 3-4 one pint jars.
Q: What’s the dimensions of the instant pot?
A: Hello, I just received my Instant Pot, and it measures 11" high and 13" wide, with a 6Qt. stainless steel inner pot. This 6Qt model is big enough for any family or single person. Instant Pot also makes an 8Qt model for larger families.
A: Hello; yes, you can purchase a brand-new inner stainless steel or non-stick inner pot from BestBuy or Amazon.
Q: Do you have to set time to cook dry beans or the cooker stop when they are done?
A: Hello maria. Thank you for your question! To cook dry beans in the Duo, you can select the Bean/Chili function or the Pressure Cook function. Once set, it will take time to come to pressure. Once it has come to pressure, the cook time will begin to countdown. Once the cooking time is complete the display will read End or will go into Keep Warm. For starchy foods like beans we always recommend a natural release. We hope this helps!
Q: Can I use it with the 220v power?
A: Hello, no, as this Instant Pot operates only on 120 Voltage.
Q: Instructions
