Q: does it works to extend wirelessly my cable box?
A: It can, but make sure the transmitter isn't behind it. Range is not ideal to be used as a cable box extender. 40 feet max, and this when the receiver and transmitter are in line of site. There's some better options for extending your cable box signal, but it cost escalates.
