Sleek, lightweight and affordable
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery life, Features, PriceThe Jabra Elite 45h offer a lot of value for the money in a small portable package. They also give you plenty of nice features for the price, such as USB-C, Bluetooth 5.0 for better range and a more stable connection and multi device support. With multi device support you can have them connected to both your tablet and phone at the same time. This feature allows them to switch devices automatically, so if you’re watching a movie on your iPad and a phone call comes in, the headphones will automatically switch to the phone so you can take the call. Watching videos on YouTube, I noticed no lag between the audio and video. In terms of audio quality, from my personal experience they sound excellent and with the app you can change audio profiles. While on a call the person I was talking to said I sounded clear even with a fan and tv in the background, it was the same on my end as well. The headphones feel lightweight and very comfortable to wear, they have very little clamping force on your head while wearing them. This is important if these will be worn for hours on end. They give you excellent battery life of up to 50 hours and with the quick charge feature, a 15 minute charge gives you up to 10 hours of playback. If you don’t like earbuds and don’t want the bulk of over the ear headphones, the Jabra Elite 45h on ear headphones are nice alternative. They won’t break the bank, they’re very comfortable, have excellent battery life (if not best in class) and they sound excellent.

Nice quality, intermittent b-tooth laptop/low soun
Posted .The heads phones setup really easy out of the box, be sure to add the Jabra Sound+ app to your mobile device. They walk you through how to connect in the app and over the headphones (audio). The headphones are really comfortable to wear and adjustment is very easy and smooth. No clicking like other over ear sets. It was a little disappointing though when it came to sounds as they sounded lower then normal. Meaning I had to turn the volume up to hear or feel as though I was hearing properly. Could this be because of the initial sound test during setup (like at the doctor's when you have the sound tones test done). I tried connecting to one of my other Bluetooth devices, originally on a Note10, then laptop. Still the sound was the same, new issue arose where the connection seemed to be intermittent at times and even pop in/out. I did reset and run setup a second time on my Note10 and still no change. I cannot say that I would fully recommend these as I would normally, my impression was overall good. I can say that other Jabra sets I have had, I've been blown away with. For a budget friendly set, I'd recommend.

The Best Features all In One Pair of Headphones
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery life, Features, Sound qualityThe Jabra Elite 45h Wireless On-Ear headphones have a great mixture of features and benefits. The Setup with the App was very quick and intuitive. Add customization to each ear cup to the ever growing list of features that help these headphones really standout. • Jabra Sound + App – The beauty of these headphones is that they tie everything together with the App. The quick setup guide in the App includes My Sound, directions on buttons for Volume/mute and calls can be found in the App once paired with Jabra Elite 45h headphones. • Bluetooth Pairing – This took me about 20 secs to pair the headphones with my Bluetooth on my Smart Phone. I then played Pandora into the headphones via my smart phone, and the music came in clear, full and filling my ears full of sound. The range of the Bluetooth is 30ft from its source (smart phone). • App features – “My Sound” is a real cool feature in the app that allows you to customize your listening experience. I chose a personal setup with sound bars from bass to treble. The app works with each ear cup and sets up for your individual sound (left, right). Each ear cup is treated separately with a series of tones. When you hear the tone simply press the button in the app. Very simply each ear gets the amount of sound value that is needed because you hear individually in the right ear different then the left ear. This was pretty cool because it truly represents the hearing differences from the L to the R. • Buttons – The buttons are located on the right ear cup. How do tell which ear cups are left or right? It is worth noting there is a subtle dot configuration on the inside of each ear cup that spell out L or R. So the buttons on the right ear cup include: Volume up/down with buttons toward the top of the ear cup, Next track button (hold Volume up button for 2 secs), Restart track button (hold Volume down button for 2 secs). Mute button mutes the sound of the call. There is also a personal assistant with guidance when the mute button is pushed (Siri, Alexa, Google asst.) that can connected. It is great to get info on all kind of things like getting directions, movie times or any number of things. This only works when you are not on a call and press the Mute button. This feature adds to the already high end features with the Jabra Elite 45h. The Multi Function Button, is pressed to pick up a call or reject a call. It also helps when you are listening and want to pause/restart. I found most buttons easy to find and easy to use. There are all these features but the learning curve moves fast, because in part there are really not that many buttons to confuse users. • Sound – These Jabra Elite 45h sound quite dynamic with 40 mm drivers and an app equalizer. With sliders to move at your discretion to customize to make your music all your own. There are also presets in the app if you don’t want to move the sliders. You can even add “pink noise” which means you can have ambient noise to hear the music better in the ear phones. I love the fact your can arrange music to your listening tastes. I chose a bassy mix with the equalizer. It works for me! • Charging – When I received the headphones there was still a charge in them. When I went to the App it showed me that I had 64% remaining battery life. Use the charging cable to USB C to USB A to get the shortest time for the most charging is pretty remarkable. A 15 min charge with fill the headphones with 10 hrs of battery life! For a full charge the headphones only need with a 2 – 2 ½ hour charge for 50 hrs!! I will hardly ever need to charge the Jabra Elite 45h headphones again! • Fit - The lightweight design is very comfortable and fitting. The ultra light ear cups rest gently on your ears for hours of play without fatigue. You hardly notice you have them on. • Portable - The Jabra Elite 45 headphones ear cups turn in to lay flat. At the end of the day, traveling, or on the go the headphones fit nicely in a felt like carry bag. The carry bag can also hold the charging cable as well. The Jabra Elite 45h Wireless headphones are a can’t miss set of headphones. If your ideals for a set of headphones include comfort, battery life, sound customization, Bluetooth, voice assistants, and easy pairing with an App, look no further. The Jabra Elite 45h Wireless headphones cover all of those features/benefits and more.

Great with hearing aids!
Posted .Pros mentioned:Features, Sound quality, Use with appsCons mentioned:Noise cancellationFIT: I have been working at home and earphones with mic are a must for online meetings and consultations. I wear in-ear canal hearing aids and have used OVER the ear headphones in the past as I cannot wear earbuds. These Jabra headphones are ON the ear, which makes them not encompass the ear, just sit on top. So if you are used to over-the-ear, this may take a little getting used to as they are not parallel with your head, but rather tilt forward a bit. If you find them sliding off if you look downward, push the top towards the back of your head and perhaps tighten the fit. Physical: Now, the headphones! very lightweight. All of the control buttons are on the right earphone, so that can help you distinguish it. They also put R and L into the speaker covers! See the pic. Battery: The battery seems to work as promised! It took about an hour to fully charge out of the box. I used them on and off for two days without charging!!! It is set to auto shutoff within about 20 minutes of no sound. These is a marvelous feature! I also can give you several hours of sound if you just give it 15 minutes of charge tim. Phone app. I am a fan of the Jabra Sound+ app for my iPhone. It takes you through a personal sound hearing test to adjust the output for your hearing! As a wearer of hearing aids, I chose to align them with my hearing aids on. It would be great if there were a multi-profile option in the app. Within the app, you can also choose a noise profile for when you just need some white noise, wave sounds, etc. This is through the widgets. The other plus is the "locate" feature. If you can't find your headphones, you can find the spot where they were last attached to you phone! Microphone. I have talked to a couple of people with the mics and they say that my voice sounds fine. The headphones have two mics which is meant to distinguish your voice over extraneous noise. Overall, I really like these earphones for a lightweight use, especially for video conferencing. They are much smaller than my over-the-ear headphones and look a bit more professional. With hearing aids, I don't have the option to use more discreet ear buds, so the Jabra Elite 45h seems the best choice.

Good design and Sound at an affordable price
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery life, Features, PriceI have had them for over a week now and am so far happy with them. Here are key observations from my side: - Very good sound. All types of music sounds great on these. The Sound+ mobile app also let you customize their sound based on your hearing profile. You should definitely try that. Also they perform very well during calls. There are two built-in microphones which provide very good sound. - They look pretty good and are also very comfortable. Unlike the over-the-ear head phones, because these are on-the-ear I can wear them for longer time periods without feeling uncomfortable. - The bluetooth 5.0 connectivity is pretty good and results in reliable connection. You can connect two devices at the same time. - Longest battery life on any of my headphones. As advertised, their battery can last for a very long time. Also, the quick charge feature as well as USB-C charging are nice touches. - Their are physical buttons on the right cup which are placed correctly and perform the standard actions. Overall, they are good headphones for the price.

Great Sound and Battery Life, Affordable
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery life, Features, PriceSummary: The Jabra Elite 45h over the ear headphones are an excellent choice for anyone that needs a good pair of wireless headphones, but doesn’t want to spend too much. They feature great sound and call quality, while at the same time being light and comfortable. I would describe them as being compact headphones, as they are slightly smaller than over the ear headphones. Jabra advertises these as “best in class” and I think that sums it up nicely. If you don’t need active noise cancellation, then these headphones will work very nicely for most home or office applications. Highlights: Lightweight and Comfortable, Extra Long 50 Hour Battery Life, Bluetooth Version 5, USB-C Charging, Nice Sound and Call Quality Sound Quality: These headphones have 40 mm drivers that do a great job of producing detailed, accurate and full range sound, I can not fairly compare them to more expensive headphones, like their big brother the Jabra Elite 85h which I also own, but they sound excellent for this price range and they sound noticeably better than the sound produced by most earbuds or devices. They also do a great job of preventing the sound from leaking out of the headphones, which can be a problem with some compact headphones. The Jabra Sound+ App has different presets available to customize the sound (neutral, bass or treble boost, speech, smooth, and energize). I highly recommend experimenting with the EQ because it can help greatly with performance and also help dial in the sound to your individual preference. Call Quality: Jabra is known for making products that have the best call quality, and the Jabra Elite 45h headphones are consistent with that reputation. They are equipped with 2 microphones and they really make a difference in the call quality area. The call quality is not as good as the Jabra Elite 85h but they are close, especially considering the Elite 85h has 8 microphones and is more than double the cost. Design and Controls: These over the ear headphones are very comfortable and lightweight. The 50 hours battery life is truly outstanding. I have been using them for a few days and the rated battery life seems to be accurate. They feature a USB-C port for charging. It takes 1.5 hours to fully charge, and a 15 minute charge powers them for up to 15 hours. They feature actual control buttons. There is audio cable output so they can not be used in wired mode. They are compatible with Google Assistant, Siri and Alexa. Included are a soft travel pouch and a USB C cable.

Nearly the perfect all-around headphone
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery life, Price, Sound qualityCons mentioned:Material, Product constructionI received this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased review. TL-DR - Jabra's Elite 45h wireless on-ear headphones are among the best Bluetooth headphones I've ever used. Between the excellent audio quality at any volume and with any genre of music, the basic EQ with 5 bands to adjust, the (admittedly weird-looking but) extremely comfortable ear pads, the hearing test that individualizes audio for you, and audio latency over Bluetooth that is nearly non-existent making it a joy to play games and watch video content, I could have paid 50% more for what Jabra's asking for the Elite 45h and still felt they were a good value. If you're looking for a great pair of Bluetooth headphones, these are more than worth checking out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Unboxing and first impressions - One of the easiest headphone packages I've opened, period. When you pull the seal tabs and slide the package apart to open the inner box, you'll find the headphones and charge cord packaged in a neoprene sack. The charge cord, like 90% of charge cords that come with headphones, is admittedly short. The good news here, however, is that Jabra chose to use USB-C instead of microUSB so you won't need to fumble with plugging the connector in. This is also the first pair of headphones I've tested where I couldn't just turn them on and go; I don't know if they were completely discharged or just needed to be given a jolt of charge to wake up, but I left them charging for about 2 hours before using them. Just something of a heads up for those of you who might want to grab these and go with them. The headphones themselves are constructed well. The plastics feel substantial and like they wouldn't be out of place in a high-end car, the earphone extensions are made out of aluminum with an anodized space grey finish, and the material used for the headband and ear pads has a great feel and plenty of cushion to it. The earphone extensions slide in and out of the headband. The headband itself has lots of flex, but doesn't feel like it's going to snap unless you roughhouse it. I'd say these headphones would be great for listening at home or in the office, but I'd find something a little more sturdy if you want to wear them for a workout. One thing you'll need to download to take full advantage of the Elite 45h headphones is the Jabra Sound+ App. While you can pair the headphones before using the app on your iPhone or Android device, I highly recommend downloading the app first as it'll force you to re-pair the headphones to enable its functionality. The only thing I expected and didn't get with this headset was a port to use this headset with a traditional 3.5mm cable. Not a dealbreaker but a nice-to-have since this would let me use the headset with a laptop or other device without pairing to a second device. (Note to Jabra - USB-C supports ANALOG audio. I'd be okay with that as a solution.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Setup and usage - You'll want to charge this headset before you use it. I needed to. You'll then want to be in the Jabra Sound+ app on your phone for pairing and initial setup. If your phone asks, make sure the Sound+ app has permission to use Bluetooth, as you'll need that for performing firmware updates and adjusting audio settings. Once charged and the Sound+ app is open, turn the headphones on and tap on the Sound+ app to let it know to look for the headphones. Once they're paired, the Sound+ app will want to take you through a hearing test in order to tweak these headphones. By hearing test, I mean a quick version of the test an audiologist would give you. This will take a minute or two to complete. I was somewhat skeptical of this at first, but I flipped the headphones around and noticed a difference between the left and right sides between sound levels and tone. The Sound+ app also allows you to make adjustments to the way audio is reproduced by the Elite 45h headphones with a 5 band equalizer. I suggest listening to a song that you'd typically listen to that's bass-heavy, has lots of vocals, and crisp treble in it. I did this with a few tracks - "Satisfied" from the Hamilton cast recording, Limp BIzkit's cover of The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes", Richard Cheese's cover of the Nine Inch Nails classic "Closer", Arash Safaian's Beethoven-inspired work "Una fantasia", and Eminem's "Rap God". It didn't matter what I had the volume level set at, it all sounded good. I also found that no matter how much low-end or high-end a song had, I could turn the bass and treble all the way up and it didn't distort to a noticeable level for me, even if it got uncomfortably loud. For video and gaming - at least on iPhone - these headphones also work great. There was nearly imperceivable delay in the audio, so a game like Dark Echo or Sayonara Wild Hearts - both of which depend on sound for playing the game properly as much as the visuals - isn't made any harder. YouTube videos sound great, no matter what the content is (I tested with loud cars, people that talk, music - including chip tune, and things that explode). I also watched part of Greyhound on Apple TV+ and found the dynamic range of these headphones to be excellent, from the quiet scenes of dinner with a special someone to the explosive action of hunting and destroying a German U-Boat. The magic of the audio quality has the drivers Jabra used to thank. For 40mm units, they're very capable across the board. Bass is very deep - as deep as many 50mm headsets I've used in the past. They're terrific at reproducing a full range of audio. Battery life seems good. Over a 3 period of listening at high volume levels, my iPhone and the Jabra Sound+ app both reported 90% battery life left. I have a feeling these headphones could go a few days between charges. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Comfort and aesthetics - The ear pads, when I first saw them, made me wonder how comfortable this headset was going to be. Even with smaller headphones, I'm a fan of the cup pad design over the flat pad. While my ears did get a little warmer than they do with cup-type pads, the flat pads Jabra used were very comfortable and didn't leave my ears sweaty. Like most headphones, L and R are visible on the pads, making it easy to put these on properly. The black plastic, black pads, and dark grey metal mesh well from a design standpoint. The headband itself has enough flex to be comfortable on many sizes of head and hairdo. The adjustment mechanism slides smoothly but holds firmly, meaning once you found a good position for the headphones to rest in, they won't be moving on their own due to being loose. The plastics also don't feel like the typical cheap stuff manufacturers tend to use, but more like something that you'd find in a higher-end car. The Elite 45h does fold flat for storage and the neoprene bag is a cinch to use. However, the headphones don't fold into the headband like many other brands are designed to do. From a durability standpoint, this is a smart decision; however, these will take up more space in your bag, briefcase, or purse because of this. They're also not the lightest pair of headphones, but you trade durability for weight from my experience. The aluminum ear phone slides also aren't light weight, nor is a larger battery than most other headphones at this price. Also, that USB-C port looks great among a sea of headphones still rocking the microUSB port - especially in this price class. I just wish there was something covering it when it wasn't in use. (Added bonus - if you connect it to a computer, the headphones show up in Device Manager/System Information; they just don't work as USB headphones when connected that way.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Conclusion - I honestly didn't expect these headphones to be as good as they are. While I do expect a lot out of 40mm headphones, I don't expect near-perfection at a price barely scraping under triple digits. While there are a couple of things that could improve in the next version or that could be improved with firmware, I'd score these as a 97 out of 100. Unless the flat ear pads are a dealbreaker for you, these should be your first choice. Do I recommend the Jabra Elite 45h? A whole-hearted YES I DO.

Right Price, Great Sound!
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery life, Price, Sound qualityCons mentioned:Noise cancellationI’m generally not a fan of on-ear headphones but the Jabra Elite 45h is an exception. Out of the box, these headphones look and feel like high quality headphones. They are plastic but the color combination and build quality make them appear much more expensive than they are. I love the padded ear cushions with the L and R dot patterns cut out. I was surprised by the weight of these headphones but they are not uncomfortable and fit nicely. The padded headband is a nice touch. The ear cups swivel up and down and side to side and the headphones had just enough spring to hold them comfortably but not cause pressure pain on my ears. The 45h’s came with almost a full charge and only took about 15 minutes to top it off. Jabra says these will last up to 50 hours on a full charge and there is a speed charge where 15 minutes will charge enough for 10 hours. Ive been using them for several days and they are still reporting Charge High when you turn them on. I love the power switch! It slides/clicks to the middle “on” position and slides a step more to enter pairing mode. The solid slide/click to turn these off is much better than the press and hold procedure used on many other models. Bluetooth 5.0 pairing was almost immediate on my iPhone and just as fast for several other phones and also on my computer. Get the app! The first thing you need to do with the 45h’s is download the Sound+ app. It found the headphones immediately and allows for expanded configuration of the headphones. I really like the hearing test configuration. It plays tones and you tap the screen when you hear them. When it's finished it personalizes the sound based on your unique hearing patterns. I enjoyed the sound coming from these headphones. Rich deep base and sparkling highs, which are both customizable with the equalizer sliders in the app. There are several presets and full custom control so you can personalize to your liking. The Jabra Elite 45h are some of the best sounding on-ear headphones i've heard, especially considering their excellent price point. The headphones can pair to two devices at the same time so setting your preference in the app, the settings held when they were used with the second device. If you have them paired to two phones, they will handle calls from either phone regardless which one used to play your content. There was no lag in the sound when watching videos. Content controls are handled by the usual three-button combination, up, down and multi-purpose button in the middle. I love that button presses had a reaffirming sound in the headphones and the buttons worked fine. There is also an assistant/mute button on the front of the ear cup for Siri, google and microphone mute. The audible clicks can be turned off in the app. The microphones in the 45h are sensitive enough to capture a conversation between two people in the same room and you can control how much feedback is played back to you through the headphones. Calls were clear and the called party didn't have any issues hearing me. Call sound is also configurable with the app. The last thing i really like about the app is the Soundscape widget that has white noises and nature sounds that you can use to just relax or block outside sounds. The Jabra Elite 45h headphones do not have active noise cancelling but they do a nice job of passively blocking outside sounds. If you are looking for a quality pair of budget headphones with great sound and amazing battery life, the Jabra Elite 45h is definitely worth your consideration. I absolutely recommend these headphones to everyone. Why pay more?

Q: QuestionWill they fit a child’s head
Asked by Justin.
This question was asked about the related product: Jabra - Elite 45h Wireless On-Ear Headphones - Titanium Black- A:Answer I am tall slender featured woman and I am so bummed out that these headphones fall off of my head. No matter how I position them and especially toward the back they fall off. If I stand up and bend over they fall off. I love these head phones but designed for a larger head.

Q: QuestionAre the sound specs in these the same as the 85?
Asked by Royzie410.
- A:Answer I cannot attest to the specs being the same because I have no means of measuring them; and you can compare the spec claims as easily as any customer. THat said, the sound quality is exceptional and I could not be happier with the product from both a performance and cost perspective.

Q: QuestionDoes this also come with a wire to hook into the device? Or is Bluetooth required?
Asked by Steph.
This question was asked about the related product: Jabra - Elite 45h Wireless On-Ear Headphones - Titanium Black- A:Answer No. Definitely a drawback I forgot to mention in my review, they do not come nor have the option to plug into headset only via Bluetooth. Batteries last a long time when fully charged but it is convenient at times to just plug in headphones the old fashioned way, especially for older devices.
