Q: What kind of amp would I need if I am running two of these in my car. .
A: Any decent 600 watt car amp should drive two of these easily. But if need more headroom, go with a 1000 watt car amp. There are plenty of either of those around for less than $100. Use a separate amp to drive your front speakers and/or tweeters.
A: Some ppl would tell u to go with a 250 rms Amp that's 1000 peak watts but u don't want to max out your Amp in order to drive the sub because you will have distortion after the gain gets set past around 85%. Go with one that's slightly over recommendations so to answer your question I'd personally would get a 300-350 rms Amp remember to allow time for the sub to get broke in properly otherwise u run risk of not getting the most outta your subs. Also don't pay attention to max/peak watts focus on the RMS.
