Blast the music with this white KEF speaker. The Uni-Q array is created from a 125mm midrange driver and 25mm aluminum dome tweeter to produce a pure sound, and its Shadow Flare method delivers high frequencies with minimal diffraction. This KEF speaker has a 165mm bass driver to amplify low tones.
A: Yes, they come with removable grills. I believe they are now magnetic. The R300 I don't believe were magnetic.
Q: How are the R3 secure to the S2 stand? bolted to the stand like the Kef LS50 meta?
A: They cant be. The S2 stands were made for the LS50's . KEF advertises that they work for the R3's as well which is only 50% true. The S2 are the correct height but the holes on the bottom of the speaker and the S2 plate dont match up. Ive been using "Blu-Tack" reusable adhesive strips for years. Its so sticky i can pick up the R3 speakers and the S2 stands (filled with sand) stay attached no problem.
Q: Do these come with the speaker stands shown in the second picture?
A: No, it does not come with the speaker stand.
Q: Would this work if placed horizontally.
A: Yes, they can be placed horizontally.
A: U can put it on stand or even on high raised table
Q: Can this set be mounted to the wall with a bracket?
A: its possible. I would suggest looking for other speaker options if that is the goal. Most wall brackets use clamps to secure the speakers. As well as screws to hold the speaker. These KEF R3's are heavy! at 30 pounds per speaker. I also would advise not drilling into them. Finally, i would not put these speakers too close to the wall because they are rear ported and need about 7-12 inches away from the wall to preform their best. This is why KEF says these are stand mount speakers.
Q: Can these be driven well by a 40w x 2 Prima Luna Evo 100 tube amp?
A: Doubt it. At this speakers rated sensitivity you’re probably going to want double the 40 watts at a minimum.
