Q: Is this thermometer for children and adults? Do I need any more equipment to operate it?
A: It is for children and adults. You do not need any additional equipment to operate it. Kinsa does have an app that can help keep track of temperature but it is not necessary to use the app if you do not want to.

Q: Is this thermometer silent?
A: No, this makes small beeping sounds when turning on and giving readings. It may be possible to silence the thermometer via the app but I have not looked into it.
Q: Can the thermometer be used if you don't have an iPhone to set up the app?
A: Yes, you will still get the temp reading on the device. Just won’t be able to record reading for future reference. It will with with any smart phone...not just iPhone.
Q: Does this thermometer work without Bluetooth?
A: Yes, but you lose some of what makes it great (ability to track fevers, guided help, etc)
Q: what size battery does it use for replacement?
A: The item uses one CR 2032 3V battery.
A: You do not need a phone unless you want to digitally track and log temps.
Q: What is the range of temperature readings
A: I'm assuming whatever temperature is humanly necessary?
