Q: What effect does the dry cycle exhaust on the Kitchen Aide dishwasher have on the surrounding cabinet?

A: As so many others, we also viewed the videos of the drying cycle causing warped cabinets, and initially backed off the purchase. But then logic took over: How could a company hope to sell a product with this kind of flaw? We own many KitchenAid products and are totally pleased with their performance, and so we decided to trust that KitchenAid would not knowingly and on purpose shoot themselves in the foot. This dishwasher has been in operation in our kitchen for almost 10 weeks. There is some warmth around the dishwasher during the drying cycle (which dishwasher does NOT have that!). We have watched our solid wood cabinets like hawks, and we are happy to report that they are not damaged in any way.

Q: Does this dishwasher require liquid or can you use pods?

A: Pods are fine. They actually give you a sample packet with the purchase of the dishwasher!

Q: Do the buttons have a child lock?

A: Has a control lock

Q: Is the 3rd rack (very top one) removable?

A: Yes! A complete user manual is on line with the instructions
