The bowl has a raised area in the center, that keeps the beater whips from coming in contact with all of the material that need to be whipped. It leaves a great deal of the material at the bottom of bowl that is never touched by the beater whip. The raised area at the center of the bowl was never described in any of the information pages. It takes longer to whip items. It seams as though the beater whip was too small for the depth of the bowl so they decided to create a raise area in the middle. This leaves kind of a mote effect for the material that needs to be whipped. I was disappointed with it for that reason, it is pricy as well.
I decided to keep it because I seldom make large batches of anything.
So, it makes it possible for me to do smaller batches.
