Fancy and stylish earbuds
|Posted .>> Summary I have been using the KHL Fusion earbuds for over a week now, and I have finally come to like it. The device is extremely comfortable, it feels fancy and of high quality, it has crisp and clear sound, and the charging case gives a sophisticated aura to it. Sound-wise, it took me a few days to appreciate the sound quality of the device. I would rank this device close to a 4.5/5 rating overall. - Pros: Crisp/clear sound, voice commands available (you can control music and calls even with some accent), comfortable to wear, long lasting battery, wireless charge, black color for discreet wearing. - Cons: takes time to get the right tapping on the earbuds to control it, limited bass. >> Setup I opened the charging case, took the earbuds, peeled off the plastic covering the charging pins on each earbud and placed them back in the charging case for a first-time charge (I was gladly surprised that the case had charge in it, so when I placed the earbuds back in it, they started charging). After charging the earbuds, I was able to connect them to my laptop as well as to my Android phone with no issues at all. You would get audio messages when pairing, turning on (e.g. “battery full”) and turning off (“Power off”). The device comes with a USB-C cable and a USB-C/A adapter, as well as a set of ear tips with a wide range of sizes. Just the latter two tell the level of care the KLH people had put into this device. >> Sound quality I am not an audiophile, but I am always looking for the most comfortable and best sounding devices for listening to music, that is the main reason I chose this device to give it a try. When listening to music, the sound coming out of this set of earbuds feels crispier than other brand earbuds, it is this crispiness that I felt a little odd at first and made me unsure I wanted to keep them. In addition (or related), the bass seemed somehow limited, especially when listening to songs with low-key notes. That being said, I decided to use the device for a few more days before a final verdict, and now I can tell that I like the music sound coming out of this pair of earbuds. >> Voice/tapping control This device has a set of voice control options for playing music (play, pause, next and previous), accept/reject calls and volume up/down. There is an additional “Hey Siri” voice command that I haven’t used since I own an Android. I came to like the voice control very much, I ultimately overcame the initial embarrassment I felt when saying “Next song”, “Volume up” or “Volume down” and getting looks from other people (even at home), now I don’t care about that anymore. It takes some time to get the right tapping technique on the earbuds for the different commands, besides the Power-On and Power-Off, I prefer using the voice command to control the device. >> Battery Battery life has been great, it can easily last a few days of several hours use each day. Well as comfortable these earbuds are, I think I cannot wear them for more than a couple of hours of continuous use (this has happened with other types of headphones as well), so I one charge can last a few days. Also, the charging time is fast and now I can have use for my wireless charger to charge the earbuds as well!

Great buds that need a little work
|Posted .These buds are great for a variety of things in your everyday life. The Bone Voiceprint tech, however needs to be worked on a little more. Reading what it can do on the instruction booklet sounds great, when it works. The buds themselves are well packaged and come with your standard charging case, USB-C charging cord and a lot of sizes for replacing ear tips. I like the charging case a lot as it tells you on the bottom the case charge level it self and the two off to the sides for each individual bud. I did not use the cable it came with because it is wireless compatible. Took less than 30 minutes to charge the case on my wireless pad. Also in case of a drop, the magnets to hold the buds in place are really strong but not too strong where you struggle to remove them. Pairing is really simple. No 3rd party app or anything needed. Just have each bud within a few feet from each other as they pair separately. This also is a huge plus as you can have EITHER both, left or right in and they will still work. I know only a few allow this and some require both or a certain side to be in to work. Listening to music or movies from my phone were spot on. No distortions of any kind from highs to lows. Battery life claims 28hrs but I have yet to have them die on me while in use in a normal 8 hour workday. The range on them from the source is great. I can walk around my entire house and have 0 issues with connectivity (I think the instructions state up to 800 feet). It is IPX5 water resistant and had them in my ears for 1.5 hours at the gym. No issues at all. Now one of the key features of the buds - Bone Voiceprint technology, I found to work maybe less than half the time. Simple things like "Next Song" had be worried people around me were staring at me with funny looks. I would have to say the command 3-4 times getting louder every time for the buds to finally acknowledge the command. Even at home with no one around, it felt like I had to yell to get the commands to work. With the earbuds in, it's hard to tell how loud you are talking. When people called me, I tried saying "accept call" and nothing. Even while trying to yell it. So after missing the call, I texted them to call me back to give it another go. Still same results. But when I answered the call manually I did have no complaints on the sound quality when talking, so there's a plus there I guess. Hopefully with a firmware update or something, these buds can truly shine. I still recommend them if voice commands are not your thing because every other feature and sound are great.

Ahh, that's music!
|Posted .I've bought and tested so many earbuds, headphones, etc over the years...my employees think I'm crazy. The expectations have changed as time passed and technology evolves. I'm reasonable about things such as battery life and getting high quality sound from something tiny that matches much larger external speakers. The KLH Fusion True Wireless Earbuds are outstanding. From the moment I opened the unique and attractive clamshell case and put the earbuds in my ear...they fit immediately and comfortably! (Note: and they come with interchangeable ear tips on a nice little card to keep them organized- bonus!). I turned on my recent favorite acoustic piece by Gary Clark, Jr and was in heaven by the 5th note. Music! Instruments that sound real! Silence when appropriate and crackles and pops that are only on the recording. Thinking it was just the recording, I decided to do a comparison with what had been two prior favorite sets - and with a real test: Dark Side of the Moon, Velvet Revolver, D'Angelo (always challenging-deep bass and whispered lyrics) and a podcast. The Fusion earbuds performed well and above the others across the board. Set-up was pretty simple, but note that each earbud connects to bluetooth. So be mindful. The charging case is lovely to look at open or closed. There's an LED to confirm each bud is charging and there are four showing the level of battery in the case. Also, the case charges inductively (wirelessly) OR with a USB-C cable (and it comes with a USB-C to A adapter. Thoughtful. Since earbuds connect to your source device individually, you have the full set of control by touch on each one. Also nice. There's no app and no equalization adjustments and you probably won't miss them. These reproduce music accurately. Finally, yes, they work for phone calls and with Siri and Google Assistant. They're water resistant to IPX5 standards. Excuse me, I'm going to go listen to some music!

Great Sound Quality and Comfort
|Posted .The KLH Fusion produce a very pleasant sound signature and battery life has been great. The voice control worked surprisingly well without need for voice training or setup. I really only have two minor quibbles with these earbuds and they are both subjective issues fixed by swapping to some exlastec eartips. Firstly, with facial hair and a rounder face I have found that the stems rubbing can cause some microphonics and the mid-bass was a little boomy for my tastes. After switching tips, the stems were pushed away from my face just enough and pushing the drivers further out brought the bass inline. Overall these are very easy to listen to for long sessions and have a bass emphasized slightly dark tonality. Soundstage width is about what you'd expect from earbuds and sounds in the center of the stage, such as vocals and solo instruments, are slightly set back and have a wider presentation. All in all I'm very happy with these earbuds. I especially like the look and feel of the charging case, it reminds me of the body lines of an Audi R8 and its nice to see something that is not just a square or oval.

Surprising
|Posted .I had never heard of this brand before. I was a little skeptical to try any in-ear headphones again since they never seem to stay in my ears. TO MY SURPRISE THESE FIT AND STAY IN.. at first I thought the sound quality wasn't that great until I put the larger size adapter on the earbud and properly placed it in my ear, sound is very good after proper placement. Bluetooth connection and range are very good. The touch commands work well, except for volume. The instructions say you can turn the volume up with touching the right earbud and down with touching the left earbud and I have not gotten that to work (-1 star). However they do have voice commands that work without pressing any buttons. Those seem to work pretty great. Overall I must say I am very pleased with sound quality, battery life and fit. Call quality is great as well. I find myself grabbing these before the big Brand name headphones I own.

High quality ear buds
|Posted .I've been using these earbuds for nearly 3 weeks. At first I felt the sound is "tinny" compared to others I have, but I've grown to like the sound. The voice recognition is a great feature, and I was really excited about this, but has been hit or miss for me. I've defaulted back to my phone or Google assistant for most tasks. The comfort and fit of these is amazing. They comfortably stay in place all day at work, during a workout even dozing off to sleep. USB-c and wireless charging make them compatible with every other charger I have, including the Pixel charging stand. I love the fact that you can pair one or both (and you can pair either alone, unlike many where it has to be the right). I like to work with one in. I haven't needed it yet, but if the battery runs down on one, you can pop the other in. The mic sound is average to above average. Seems they put the right hardware into it, but for some reason my callers say it's not as clear as other buds. It hasn't failed me though. Works in a noisy truck just fine. The case is awesome. Heavy, well built. You can easily stow the buds in the dark, and there are no "near misses" like many others I've had. When they're in, they're in. No going to use them to find that they weren't seated and didn't charge. It comes with lots of alternative cushions to get the right fit, but the default works great for me. I've put the water resistance to the test, and they definitely hold up to heavy workouts. Overall I'm very happy with the ear buds. My first wish was that there was a way to get past the tinny sound through equalization or something like that. But again, I think it's just "different, not bad". After getting used to them, I actually prefer the sound. High quality product.

Need Work!!!!
|Posted .So, when I received these earbuds I was pretty excited to try them and initially they started off pretty good but that was about it. I am always looking for a good pair of earbuds to use while working out, and for daily use but unfortunately these are not it, Not yet!!! So, lets go over the good and the bad for the KLH Fusion True Wireless Earbuds. Features: From the unboxing to the pairing process was straight forward. In the box you are provided 1 pair True wireless earbuds, charging case, USB-C to USB-C charging cable, USB-C to USB-A adapter, and seven silicone gel ear tips and to pair them with your phone just open the case, remove the earbuds, scan and pair. The earbuds are lightweight and comfortable to wear. The earbuds are IPX5 water resistant, have touch controls, Voice controls, Voice Recognition, automated pairing, high-fidelity sound, Bluetooth 5.0 and lastly 7 hours of playtime. The Good: To start of the earbuds, pack a punch in sound. The sound, quality of music, and the bass are right on point. Even at the highest volume there was no distortion, the clarity was there and the bass was not overwhelming. So far so good. The automated pair process works pretty well, as soon as you remove the earbuds from the case they pair up with the phone. The battery does last awhile and when you put them back in the case they recharge the earbuds. The Bad: So, here is where I had some issues with the earbuds. Firstly, even though the earbuds are water resistant, I had some issues using the touch functionality of the earbuds while working out with moist fingertip, the earbuds touch controls would respond intermittently, as you can imagine that would get annoying pretty quickly. Secondly, these earbuds are supposed to have a smart microphone and bone voiceprint technology, allowing the user to use voice controls to turn up or turn down the volume, reject and answer phone calls, play and pause music without a wake-up word. Well, out of the 20 times I tried and tested the voice controls, just a simple volume up and volume down, and play and pause the earbuds only responded to the commands 25% of the time. At time instead of answering a phone call, they rejected a few calls of mine, also very annoying when you need to answer a call, instead your earbuds reject them. The Bone Voiceprint technology did not work out to well for me either. So, with this technology the earbuds are only supposed to recognize the wearer’s voice. In my testing, my wife was able to command the earbuds while I was wearing them and she was able to get the music to stop and play. This definitely is a great idea but I believe it still needs to be refined a bit by the company. I do believe that this can a great product with some pretty cool features once its fine tuned a bit but at the moment I would not recommend this product.

Ok earbuds—software could be better
|Posted .Overview—The KLH fusion is the next earbuds into the densely saturated headset space. It features an IPX5 water resistance rating, long lasting battery life, Bluetooth 3.0, and voice recognition to name a few. Packs a multitude of ear canal fitments into the box making it quite user friendly for everyone. Pairing is, mostly, straightforward. Despite everything from product details to packaging stating its quick automated pairing process. My first time pairing was the most troublesome as the device wouldn’t appear. After getting passed that hiccup however, I never had that issue. During next use, I did however, have the issue of it pairing with a nearby device I wasn’t using but continues to operate Bluetooth for other devices. -Sound is fair. It lacks a bit of bass which becomes most noticeable with most rap, dubstep, metal or some country tracks. It becomes more of an issue at higher volume levels, roughly >60%. The voice assistant works 90% of the time. The 10% comes from it not hearing or understanding perhaps, my asking to change track, volume down/up, or reject call. I have not experienced it taking a command from someone around me at the time of writing. -Another less critical but slightly annoying detail is having a foreigners voice coming through the system messages. At least give options to the voice coming through the speaker. Having the default Asian woman with a strong accent isn’t for me. -But my biggest gripe with them. If they have some kind of mic on them why can’t we have a hear through feature. No Hear through is the biggest deal breaker for me. Makes answering a call while driving with these a big no-no. These 3 points marked with a dash(-) make me think that having an app would of been a better idea than letting everything be a default. Pros Water resistant (good for working out/outdoor activity) Long lasting battery Voice assistant Battery indicator LED lights make seeing juice levels a snap Cons Expensive Limited, safe, usability with missing features No customization options other than ear canal cushions.
