Did my homework
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received Samsung HW-H550 as a present. Decent for the price. Focuses more on features than sound quality. Debated many options. I read every review for every option on this site, narrowed down to a handful, then cross referenced them on other sites. Traded it in and I am currently using the Klipsch R-20B and absolutely love it. 10" Subwoofer has warm bass with decent punch when needed (adjustable woofer). Put the woofer in the corner with speaker side facing wall as indicated in manual. Sound bar has a total of six speakers (2 more than R-10B, which only has 8" woofer). The highs are so clean and crisp! And of course I connected my iPhone via Bluetooth (which delivers better bandwidth and louder than optical connection) and cranked the dub-step UP, no distortion! I don't care for the 3-D sound though. It creates an interesting wider feel, but the EQ squashes the midrange in an awkward way. If you want surround, don't shop for a sound bar and buy a.true surround system. My room/ furniture set up is not conducive for surround. If you want to spend over a grand, get Yamaha, their processing is impeccable. If you want to spend no more than 600, get the R-10B, the power is the same. For me, the $800 R-20B proved to be my sweet spot. And it's easy to program any remote to operate it.

Great sound and flexibility
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for an option to simplify audio components, remove wires and enhance TV sound in living room. I finally decided on Klipsch R-20B sound bar, wireless subwoofer system. As a result, removed receiver, floor standing speakers and wires. Now I have near invisible great sounding system if my living room. Great sound using optical audio cable from TV, use analogue cable to iPOD for music library, option to stream music via bluetooth from any BT capable device. TWO very important additional benefits, 1) I can control volume through standard cable box remote AND 2) by using the optical audio source direct from the TV, voice is ALWAYS in sync with lips on the screen. NO MORE annoying delays. Did I mention great, room filling sound? Two weak point (not important to me). 1) Bluetooth sound is a little "harsh" when using iPAD 2 or smartphone bluetooth. Not sure if this is a problem with the system or the devices. Seems a little better when streaming from MacBook Pro where I can balance sound via equalizer in iTunes. The 2nd weakness is the 3D sound enhancer. Disappointing. Don't expect simulated surround sound from this system. HOWEVER, watching movies from either cable box or Apple TV sounds great with full tone, volume and great dynamic range even without the 3D enhancement.

As usual, Klipsch does not disappoint
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long time Klipsch owner, from classic speakers Heresy and Forte, then to LaScala speakers, and have always been so impressed with the efficiency and sound quality of their speakers. I've had guys brag about their speakers only to then watch their faces droop after they've heard mine. This sound bar system is no different. Handles movie sound, especially concert films, exceptionally well. Got the shipment 2 days ahead of schedule and no problems. Best Buy pricematched and I got it for $200 less. Very happy with both the speakers and the Best Buy experience.

Awesome Sound, Great Value!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own the R-10B and couldn't pass up the closeout on the R-20B. If you can live without the fact this unit cannot accept HDMI as an audio input and you have to use Optical or Analog sound input, you will not be disappointed. The sound is very balanced and you can adjust the subwoofer output directly on the sub. There are not really any sound adjustments on this soundbar- I did not really get much out of the 3D sound setting- my soundbar sits in a very open area- if I had walls to bounce the sound off, maybe the sound would have achieved more of the intended effect. The bluetooth sounds great, the Apt X works very well. The next generation of this soundbar includes all the features people were requesting- HDMI input, sub control from the remote, dialog-surround-night modes. There was a bit of a break-in period and after about 10 hours it sounded even better.

Great sound, except for cheap remote control!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This soundbar sounds pretty good. There are a few items I wish it came with, especially seeing the retail price is $799. There is no smart technology other than Bluetooth. There is only an Optical input. The systems seems, very rarely though, to decide when it wants to change the input and it starts blinking very quickly. I enjoy the sound and I like the 3D mode, it loses some volume until you turn it up, but overall it is good. The remote that comes with it feels very cheap and is very small. If you don't know exactly what the setup is/buttons are you can change inputs/volume,etc without even knowing it. Then it can take a while to figure out how to get it back to normal. The soundbar is a little taller than I want and I had to move it off to the side because it totally blocks my IR sensor of my TV, but again it is manageable. Overall I would say this is a pretty decent soundbar and the subwoofer sounds great and you can adjust the bass with a knob in the back. I can't turn it up 100% because I live in a town home and don't want to get in trouble because of it being too loud.

great quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has very good sound , crisp high and with the 10" wireless sub well its like I have my sound system from my truck which isnt stock in my house.the music is better, the movies well the theater isn't necessary. You can Bluetooth from tour phone, DVD player computer. As the old saying goes "you pay for what you get" you can get a 8" sub but you'd be wishing you had the 10" . It's worth the difference in payment. Enjoy.

Amazing Sound!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have waited a couple months for this review. I wanted to ensure that I leave a solid review for this product. Although this could be considered an older model/version I would not let that dissuade you from possibly purchasing this. These speakers offer an amazing rich and full tone. I am not a fan of the 3D or the bluetooth capabilities. I think many people have commented as such. For those 2 reasons, I removed 1 star. I have been simply enjoying the sound without those settings, and it is fantastic! It replaced my 5.1 Onkyo system. This is NOT a true surround sound system but the quality of this sound is hard to rival by many of the sound systems I have experienced, even higher priced sound bar and surround sound systems. I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase. ** I did have a defect in my remote but I contacted Klipsh and they are sending me a new remote at no cost. I am not concerned though because the system paired up in only a few minutes using my Logitech Harmony Ultimate remote. **

Good value for a price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it on sale at Best Buy - good value for the money: the original TV speakers on my Samsung produced a very poor quality sound so decided to get an external speaker. While more expensive than most of samsung and sony similar speaker bars, KLIPSCH outperforms those by a large margin.

Q: QuestionHas anyone compared this to the Sony HTCT770?Wondering if anyone has compared the two or had experience with both. I'm ultimately wondering if the Klipsch is worth the extra $100. Thanks!
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer My experience in general is that the Klipsch will blow the Sony away......Sony doesn't do sound very well and certainly not in the same class as Klipsch. Even the 8" Klipsch would be better!

Q: QuestionIs 250 w enough vs less expensive with 400 w.
Asked by Bobby.
- A:Answer Quality far outweighs power output. Don't let that number discourage you. Klipsch puts out amazing sound quality and this unit will get loud enough for any house out there. I just picked this up at the recommendation of a friend and I'm glad I did....Holy Sh&@ it's nice.

Q: QuestionHow is the dialogue rendering on this soundbar? The reviews on this look great, but I don't have a way to test it as no best buy stores have this in stock. I am trying to pick a soundbar where I don't need to raise the volume too much for listening to dialogues.
Asked by NC.
- A:Answer This was the main reason I bought this soundbar. The dialog is crisp and clear. Don't need to turn up volume to understand when characters are having a conversation in an action movie.

Q: QuestionI am not getting ANY sound out of my equipment? It worked prior to 2 wks ago. Any ideas?
Asked by Klipsch.
- A:Answer A couple of weeks ago my TV (and sound bar) went dark, the sound bar's light kept flashing but no sound was coming out. I had to unplug the cable box and reboot the system and it worked after doing this. Hopefully this helps.

Asked by RonnieBlack.

Q: QuestionCan turn tv off and still play my sat radio stations?
Asked by Jason.
- A:Answer Yes, the soundbar has two inputs. One optical and one analog (1/8" jack). I have my TV connected via the optical jack and my Alexa connected via the 1/8" connector. I just switch inputs depending on what I want to hear.
