Loved this camera
Posted .Excellent price for something that takes such good pictures and video's. Just used on vacation and my son who usually burns up my old camera from taking so many consecutive pictures and no problems. It kept up with him and took great pictures. I also like the panoramic pictures that you can take. If you do it right they turn out pretty good too. He even used the video option which was great. Definitely would recommend this camera and have already done so to friends. I also like that fact that I can put my own batteries in it instead of having to recharge a battery. That was a plus for me because I hate to be somewhere and the batteries dies and you can't take anymore pictures. That has happened with my husbands camera. That is why I will not buy a camera like that.

Excellent camera for the money
Posted .I bought this camera on sale for $89.99 and was blown away by the features it has for such little money. I am a long time Kodak user and have had 3 different cameras and this is the best and the cheapest by far. I've also never paid more than $150 for a digital camera. The first I had was a 3.0 mp that I paid $150 for and the second was a 5.0 mp I paid $120 for. Neither had true auto-focus and neither had any on-board editing features (mainly cropping). This camera automatically adjusts for the lighting AND will focus without you having to press the button lightly before taking your picture when you have it on the Smart Capture setting. The only downsides I've come across is what I mentioned above. You MUST use lithium batteries or you will be putting cheap alkaline batteries in every 20 or 30 minutes (as another reviewer found out). Consider the two alkaline batteries that come in the package free sample batteries. They'll give you just enough time to turn the camera on, take a couple pics, scroll around the menus to see how it works, and then they're gone. Also, we're talking about a 12.3 megapixel camera people! You HAVE TO use a memory card! Why people want to buy cheap batteries and no memory card for a digital camera this day and age, I'll never know. You've already saved a ton of money buying this camera for $90-120 instead of a $200-500 Sony or Canon. It's a great camera and is well worth the price, even if it's not on sale. Oh! Another cool feature is there is no instruction manual or user's guide. It's IN THE CAMERA! All you do is highlight a feature or setting and press the Info button and it will explain what it does on the screen! Another reviewer mentioned something about the video not having sound. I haven't tried recording video with it yet, but I would be shocked if it didn't have sound. All the information says it has video with sound. There is a good possibility that I'll never find out whether it does or not because I have a video camera that I use to record videos with... But don't expect to buy a Kodak camera for just at $100 and be taking professional quality photos. If you're extremely worried about picture quality and grainy looking photos and lighting settings, you should probably invest in a more expensive camera. I took Christmas and New Year's pictures with this camera and they came out great. My girlfriend and I took pictures on Christmas Eve and printed them out on our Kodak Photo Printer Dock and put them in the Christmas cards we gave to family and friends. So, if you want to save some money and capture some memories, buy this camera!

Great camera
Posted .I upgraded to this camera from a 3.2 MP Easyshare that I'd had for years and was starting to show it's age, right before a 2 week vacation. After reading some of the reviews I was unsure if I should bother with an upgrade or just make do. Concerns about battery life made me leery. But I went for it and am so glad I did. I loaded it with an 8 GB memory card, necessary as the internal memory holds less than 10 shots, and a set of rechargable batteries and went on my way. I came home with a couple hundred nice shots, and only had to change the batteries once. My one recommendation to those who complain about battery life is turn off the camera if there is some time between shots. For example, there is no point in having in on as you go from one attraction to another.

Absolutely Perfect
Posted .I absolutely love this camera. Especially since I got it while it was on sale. A whole $20 off. I would recommend this to people that like to just get straight down to the pictres without all those unecessary extras. I love the camera s much to the point where I consider it my "baby".

Very nice camera for the price!
Posted .Bought this camera for one of my kids to take on vacation. The camera, combined with a 4GB memory card and a nylon carrying case was perfect. The camera took outstanding photos that were later easily uploaded to the computer, Facebook, etc... Very simple to use, nice large screen, compact, but with a sturdy feel to it. The 4GB memory card holds a huge number of photos and the case kept it safe, even from the 12-year-old operator! Get this camera, you won't be disappointed.

Great Camera, rough battery life
Posted .I had to replace a Kodak Z730 a day before a trip out of town, so I made a quick purchase of this camera, without really investigating it alot. It has many of the same features as my last camera, and then some. I especially like the option of taking 3 sets of photo's and having the camera sew them together into 1 picture - a great option for scenic shots. The only feature I really miss from the 730 was the on board speaker for playing back video. The viewing screen seems much larger, and the camera itself is lighter and more compact than my previous model. The one thing I was kind of concerned with was the battery. My older camera had a lithium battery, and many times I would be out taking pictures only to find that my battery wasn't charged. So I really wanted a camera with a standard battery that could be purchased anywhere I needed to. The one thing I hadn't looked at was battery LIFE. I started with some cheap dollar store AA's only to find my batteries dead after just a few hours/ pictures. The next day I bought some Energizer's with enough to spare. If you buy this camera, just make sure you also purchase higher end batteries, and keep some spares handy.

Pictures are BETTER quality than my Nikon!
Posted .I lost my brand new $300 touch screen Nikon and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new camera. Before the Nikon I had a Cybershot from Sony it broke down in about 2 years. I figure that if all these "top of the line" cameras are going to break down or get lost within a 2 year timeframe, why spend so much money on them?! I saw this camera at my local CVS, but I bought mine at Best Buy because I had a few gift cards and it was on sale for $89.99. It looks and handles like a "cheap" camera, but it's all about the pictures- and this camera delivers!! If it breaks down in a year or two, my feelings won't be hurt because it cost me less than $100!! I bought this camera because of the price and because all the great reviews on the Best Buy website. The picture quality is amazing! It has better features than my Nikon and I can honestly say that I like it better than my Nikon and my Sony!

Excellent camera for overall operation and use
Posted .You need to buy rechargable batteries for the camera becasue it runs through batteries extermely fast and you will save money by recharging instead of buying new batteries all the time.
