The essence of ease
Posted .In my years of fighting with electronics, I have never had anything that is so easy to install. Follow the simple instruction sheet, install the included software when it tells you to, and you are set to print. Make sure you have the security code for your wireless network handy and you (as I am) are set to print wirelessly. Install the same software on all the computers you want to share the printer and you are in business. Yes, the printer is a little louder than the HP it is replacing - but the aforementioned HP died a stupid coward's death the other day - throwing error messages like candy at a small town 4th of July parade- just had its predecessor did. No more HP for me! If these last few hours are any indication - I am a Kodak crusader from here on.

Setting up a wireless network printer is not easy!
Posted .The best advice i can give you is: Don't use the set-up disc that comes with the printer. Instead go to the kodak website and download the most current software. The guidelines of this review say not to give websites but i will anyway: www.kodak.com/go/esp5250downloads This download will save you time and i think without it, wireless scanning is impossible. I read a lot of the reviews and most people say you need to hook up a usb cable to scan but you don't with this software. I used the disc and couldn't scan into my computor and then i had to uninstall it completely and start over with the download. I used the chat session option with kodak to get all that done and it was a verry slow process. I think the guy was typing with his nose but he eventually got the job done, i won't tell you how long it took. To set up the printer on your network you need to know the network name and password that you used when you originally set-up your router. I didn't remember mine so i had to reset it, but it was easy to connect after that. Hint: ssid = network name. I had to learn that. Its done now and i can print and scan to the wireless printer from all my computers. I hope this review helps!!

Perfect for ny needs
Posted .I bought this printer for two reasons. First, I wanted wireless connectivity and this printer provided that. Second, the price was good since it was on sale and there was a trade in program for my old printer. Setup was very quick and easy. It was easy to detect and connect to my wireless network. So far, it has worked perfectly. The printing, scanning and copying features work well. The photos that I printed with the included Kodak photo paper were excellent. This unit will meet the basic needs of the vast majority of users. I find it to be slower than my stand alone HP scanner and it does not have as high a maximum resolution, but the scans are very good. It is slower than my Canon stand alone printer, but the output seems to be on par with it. It is quicker than the Epson all-in-one that I own in all respects. If it truly does end up being cheaper for ink, I will be very happy. I wish it had individual cartridges for each color like my printer since colors never all run out at the same rate and it seems a waste to replace them all. On the other hand, I am sure it is more economical for them to do it this way. I will hold judgment on ink costs.

Great printer for a muti-computer home
Posted .We have 5 different computers in our home. 2 Macs Laptops; 2 Microsoft Desktops; and 1 Microsoft Laptop. We are all able to easily remote print to this printer. I also love the easy 1 black and 1 color cartridge.

Great printer
Posted .The printer works wonderfully. I love the fact that it is wireless and I love the fact that I can print pictures right from the SanDisk Micro Flash Card. And the feature I love the most is the wireless capability. The printing quality is great. The color quality is absolutely fantastic! I haven't had the printer long enough to say whether or not the printer will use a lot of ink. Time will tell. Thusfar, I'm satisfied.

Easy to set up and works great but noisy.
Posted .This is an easy set up wireless and can be done in a few minutes. The printer is easy to operate and the only thing I see as a shortcoming is the excessive noise the printer makes when printing.

Great quality printer for the home
Posted .My old printer kept shutting off and the connection was lost. I received a coupon in the mail so I figured I would give it a try. I am so happy I did. The unit is extremely professional looking with out the professional cost. Quality of the printing is excellent. The speed is amazing. Very happy I purchased it when I did.

READ THIS REVIEW!!!!!
Posted .After reading all of the 54 reviews prior to posting this one I must say that some of the purchasers of this printer must be expecting the performance and noise quality of the $5000 Konica. Give me a break! I read that it was hard to take out of the box...really? I read that the set-up was not that easy....really? I read that the print head as extremely hard to install given all of the pressure the one had to use to get the unit to "click" in place....really? I read that the photo prints were of a quality that one would expect from a poor quality printer...really? Maybe I just got lucky....I had NO issue with setting up the printer including taking it out of the box. You don't have to lay the box on it's side just unpack and lift it out! Removing the packing materials as well as the protective plastic over parts of the printer ( which I must say I find a welcome change for the manufacturer to want you to have a pristine looking unit) was a breeze. I am not the Hulk and I didn't have to exert a lot of pressure to get the printhead nor the print cartidges to click into place as some have mentioned. The set up was easy , the photo prints are FANTASTIC, crisp and clear, and the document printing has been flawless. I have owned this product for 5 hours and currently have been impressed! I will set-up the wireless when I get home since I am on a business trip and using the USB cable that I had for my old Lexmark. Any issues along those line will be posted as a follow-up.
