Q: Does the case stay closed when you put the phone down?

A: LInda - like the previous folios, it takes a while to 'break in' the spine. After a long call, it likes to stay open a bit . . . Minor annoyance, but not a dealbreaker, at least not for me.

Q: Is the case water resistant?

A: PierJim - I don't recall that being addressed in the product info, but it's entirely 'closed' and of a vinyl and/or plastic manufacture, so I can't imagine it not being so. (Especially since the phone itself is rated for 30 minutes underwater.)
