Q: Does any one know if this model has the anti glare screen.
A: I also hate the anti glare screen and the way it feels.
Q: what is the difference between these 2 laptops?
A: The first computer you listed was the Ideacentre flex 20 - 57318965, which has a length of 20.1 inches and weighs 11.5 lbs. The second computer which you listed as the Flex 20 - 57323540 which has a width of 20.5 inches, and weighs 7.7 lbs. So, I would say, the second is a little wider and very much lighter than the first model you were looking at. Hence the difference.
Q: Does anyone know how to open this unit?
A: There are videos online and well documented. It is a cumbersome process and not for the faint of heart. Also, you can only upgrade the hard drive. RAM is soldered on the board.
A: I believe the resolution on this model, reaches 1366x768. Some models will reach 1440x900, but I do not think this model does.
Q: does the flex 20 support Intel WIDI?
A: No based on internet research the Lenovo Flex 20 does not support WIDI. Updating to Windows 8.1 does not resolve the issue as well. However, you can upgrade the card to a Intel 7260AC wireless card and then update the drivers and the "wireless display" option under devices>project. So you can get WIDI but only by purchasing the Intel 7260AC wireless card,.
Q: Bought this for Mom, Touch Screen often fails
A: I had a similar problem with mine, when it sleeps and blacks out the screen it would not respond to either the key board or the touch. I fixed the settings so that it does not sleep. Go to your account picture in the app/start menu, right click on it and select "change account picture", it will go to a screen that has an arrow by the word "Accounts" click on the arrow this will take you to a screen that says "PC Settings", choose: "PC and devices". On the list presented choose "Lock Screen" go to the right side of the screen and scroll down to make sure the question "When my PC is inactive, show the lock screen instead of turning off the screen" is set to ON. Also the following question "turn off screen after slide show has played" should be set to Don't turn off. This should fix the touch screen issue.
