Great Monitor!
Posted .Actually initially bought a Hanspree 22" (it was on sale), but after returning it for another of the same and spending much time on the phone with their support line (it kept kicking out of HDMI mode with my new Gateway) I returned to the store one more time and picked up the W2252TQ and a DVI-HDMI cable. It cost a bit more but is worth it! It doesn’t have any of the back light bleed that the other LCD had. It works great with the HDMI out on my PC (GW GT5876). The 22" is a great size for a desktop PC. I use digital recording software and I can see all my tracks. I used to use dual monitors but with the LG I really don't need them. Thanks to another reviewer on bestbuy.com for the recommendation. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. "Life is Good!"

Unsure
Posted .I purchased two of these monitors today, one is working perfectly, the other appeared fine at first, but then I noticed a stuck pixel. The pixel is stuck displaying yellow and will not display blue. I have tried several of the screen solutions that flash different colors over the effected area but so far nothing has cleared it. I'm taking the one with the stuck pixel back tomorrow and hoping they will exchange it for one without a stuck pixel.

Good Monitor, But...
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAfter my family experienced many issues with LG’s cell phones I was very reluctant to purchase anything they made, however, I was desperate. I saw this monitor read the reviews and figured I’d bite the bullet and purchase it. Setting it up wasn’t difficult (base, connections) but when it came time to install the driver this took over two hours. Why? Normally when you install new hardware, you run the setup disk and the driver(s) usually install automatically. This was not the case with this monitor. Realizing the supplied disk from LG was anything but helpful I navigated to their website figuring I could download the driver from there and all would be right the world. After searching for what seemed like forever, I finally located what I hoped was the correct driver. It was in a zip format, no big deal I thought; that is until I unzipped it. I thought only Microsoft Windows had that many files. Amongst all these folders I could find no setup file. After two hours, I finally had Windows Vista search the installation disk supplied by LG which amazingly enough found the driver in an obscure folder. As for the quality, its descent, no dead pixels and very little light bleed. Because the screen is 22” wide it’s easier on the eyes and neck. The colors don’t seem to be as rich as my previous View Sonic. Right out of the box the View Sonic required little to no adjustment for the average user. I find the color balance on this LG monitor subdued, soft in fact. I have tweaked the color balance but still can’t quite get the richness I had with the View Sonic. I’ve been using this monitor for over a week; once I made it over the driver incident I can say I am satisfied with this monitor.

Got it on sale last week @ $269.99 + tax
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendGreat monitor that became an even better deal last week with a $50 price cut from its current price. It's a beautiful monitor that is very big @ 1680x1050. Everything is bright and sharp with no ghosting that I can see. Have tested War3, WoW, SC, BF2, and the entire Orange Box. Very comfortable for internet browsing and, with the additional space afforded by a 22" monitor, can fit two browsers side-by-side (or one browser and a video). Having upgraded from a 17" dell MVA panel, this monitor is a monster. Additionally, this monitor features 1:1 pixel mapping for games without wide-screen resolution support. Under "fun" mode, there is an option to squeeze the screen into 4:3 aspect ratio. Definite plus. The only real gripe that I have about this monitor is the glare that the monitor reflects under low to moderate light conditions. The viewing angles aren't too great either but that's expected from a TN panel like this monitor. Also, the tilt joint is rather finicky and feels a bit flimsy. Not too big of a deal though if tilt is not a big factor in determining the monitor that you want. The base is very sturdy.

Super Monitor!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is an awesome monitor! I had a 19" LG monitor and there is a big difference between this one and my old one. First, this monitor has much better image quality than most other monitors. I originally considered buying the Samsung with the 20000:1 constrast ratio. I decided on this LG over the samsung because Samsung really is lying about their contrast ratio. They say 20000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 1000:1 typical. This means that you will only get 20000:1 contrast SOMETIMES and 1000:1 most of the time. This LG is 10000:1 ALL the time. The 2ms response time is amazing for games. All games look awesome with this monitor. The image quality is great. The only thing lacking is the stand. The stand does not swivel, it only tilts. Ideally, the stand should do both. My old LG monitor swiveled but didn't tilt, now this one tilts but doesn't swivel. You figure it. This really isn't a big deal though. You don't buy a monitor for its stand. Overall, this monitor is a great value for the price and has great image quality.

Sweet!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis monitor will run your PS3 at 720P ONLY! It's a great addition to any gaming but i MUST tell you that it has some "snow" effect during games, but what i meen by this is that all "clear spaces" of the game like the sky and anything not obstructed by textures and trees and stuff like that, get all fuzzy. like looking through a low res internet cam. i would suggest something of the same but just a little more/alot more, uhhh, power. it feels like it's not refreshing fast enough for it's 2ms stated speed. when i do play, i get slow movements, but nothing too hard to handle, but it does it's job for it's price and again, consider something with a little more Hz on the refresh side if you want a more "up to date" picture quality! 60Hz @ 1680X1050 just con't cut the butter!

Incredible clarity & Brightness
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI just purchasd this monitor from Best Buy this past weekend (3/8) and i can honestly say this is the brightest and clearest monitor i have ever owned. The price point is great at just over $300. The specs are great at 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 2ms refresh rate. I definitely recommend this for the average person who wants an inexpensive but great large LCD monitor for their computing needs.

good buy but annoying
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendOverall I would have to say that this is a great monitor. Perfectly what I was looking for. High contrast ratio, 22' wide screen, 2ms response time, and one of cheapest name brand monitors available. A very good bang for the buck. My only complaint however, is that I play Call of Duty 4 religiously and when I alt+tab to check X-fire, Team Speak, Vent, or a web page then I try to get back to the game it flashes like its going to load the game and then puts you back to the desktop. I have not tested it with all other programs but so far it has been those combinations that do it. If it was not for that highly annoying situation I would give this monitor a 5-star.
