  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Condenser drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: Is this fingerprint resistant stainless steel?

A: It does leave smudges but they do easily wipe off With a Towel

Q: Brand new LG dishwasher. The dishwasher does not seem to be getting very hot and the dishes are not drying even when "extra dry" setting is used. Also, dishes are not coming out very clean. Suggestions?

A: The newer more energy efficient dishwashers have moved away from heating elements which are just better at drying. Newer machines take longer to wash and don't dry as well in the name of energy efficiency. Current machines dry by heating up the stainless steel tub with hot water and using a rinse aid to have the water be better at sheeting off of your dishes. Your metal and ceramic items retain heat better than plastics, so if it's only your plastic items that are wet, that's just the way things are. If dishes or pots and pans are wet, then something could indeed be wrong. I had so many problems with my LG machine - 2 different ones broke in 4 months... their customer support was terrible, too. I fought for and got a refund direcly from the manufacturer. I'm done with LG.

Q: I'm getting new countertops and will be ordering this. Does this need a special bracket for quartz countertop to allow screws to attach to the top/side. Or does it come with side mount brackets? Thank you.

A: The LG - 24" Top Control Built-In Dishwasher with QuadWash and Stainless Steel Tub - Black stainless steel, Model # LDT7797BD comes with 2 x Installation brackets and four wood screws that you can use for countertops made of wood or other materials that will not be damaged by drilling. For countertops made of granite, marble, or other materials that could be damaged by drilling, you can use the woodscrews to attach the dishwasher to the cabinet. There are plastic caps on the sides of the dishwasher cabinet that can be removed so you can drive the wood screws through into the cabinet frame then reinstall the plastic caps to prevent water from leaking through...^IFV

Q: Do I need to buy anything extra ? Does it come with Power cord?

A: You will need the following parts, that are not included: Electrical cable, Water supply tube, Fittings for tube Coupler, Teflon™ tape, Air gap Wire nuts for 16-gauge wiring, Hose clamp ⅞" UL approved, strain relief, Electrical tape.

Q: Are all 3 racks removable?

A: Yes. All three racks can be removed from the machine. The two top racks have retainers that keep them from falling out easily, therefore you need to be careful and "release" the racks before just "yanking" them out.

Q: Is this dishwasher unit able to be installed as a hardwire? Are Best Buy installers approved do hardwire installs?

A: You can find information regarding the electrical wiring needed for your dishwasher in the owner's manual beginning on page 14. A copy of the owner's manual is able to be downloaded from the following link: https://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-LDT7797ST#manuals ^CP

Q: I dont know how to start my dishwasher , it is showingsomething like 1E Please let me know ehat buttom to press abd make ir work Thank you Maria

A: Hi Maria. The error codes on the LG Top Control Dishwasher with QuadWash™ and EasyRack™ Plus, Model # LDT7797ST will indicate what is wrong with the dishwasher and in many instances, the error can be resolved. Please make sure that the error code you are seeing on the display is error code "1E". An IE error code indicates that the level of water in the unit did not get high enough after 10 minutes of filling. To resolve this, please check to make sure that your water valve has not been turned off or that it is fully turned on. You will also want to ensure that your water line is not kinked or that it is not bent in such a way that prevents the water from filling properly. You will also want to check that the dishwasher is properly leveled. Improper leveling can trigger the IE error code. Your water pressure must be between 20 - 120 PSI. If this is too low, your dishwasher will not fill properly. You will need to contact a plumber to correct the issue. The last thing to check is your drain hose. If it is installed lower than the base of the dishwasher, it is possible that it could cause premature draining. The height of the drain hose end must be over 10 inches from the bottom of the dishwasher to avoid water being siphoned from the tub. In that instance, you will need to re-install the dishwasher properly. If the IE error code persists after checking all the above, the unit will require a repair service. You can contact our Support Center for assistance with making arrangements for a repair service, or you can visit our 'Request a Repair' page at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair-service/schedule-repair-us...^IFV
