Get the power of a full-size appliance in compact form with this LG dryer. The multiple cycle settings and Wrinkle Care option are perfect for work clothes and delicate fabrics, and the 4.2-cubic-feet capacity provides room for heavy items such as jeans and towels. This LG dryer uses a removable water reservoir, so it doesn't need to be vented.
Q: Can this Dryer be Vented? Does it take longer to Dry clothes when it isn't Vented? thanks
A: A ventless dryer works differently than a conventional one. While there is no vent hose hook up, the dryer requires good airflow like all heat transfer devices. I would say it does take longer to dry clothes, but believe they are more energy efficient than conventional dryers which exhausts heat thru the vent. I wouldn't recommend a ventless heater if you have an existing vent, but it works good for me in my condo without one.
A: All depend what I am drying, towels release full tank of water as well as the bed sheets. I normally dry small loads at a time but always collect good amount. They probably connected the hose the goes directly to the drainage and you don’t have to drain the tank. Which I regret not doing. The tank get hot with the water collected. Don’t seem to be any other logical explanation.
A: I didn't need the vent kit for installation, all i bought was the cord because it didnt come with one.
A: We recommend having 1-2" of clearance just to prevent vibrations against nearby items. ^CP
A: While the unit does create some humidity it is not that bad. Yes,a small dehumidifier will help but not really necessary. If it's in a small room suggest you install a louvre door to help circulation which helped a great deal. Also suggest you bypass the water going into the collection pan which you have to empty out every cycle and connect the hose into the washer drain. Overall it's a decent unit for a ventless. Good luck.
A: It require separate 110V and 220V wall outlets for each unit. ^Daphane
Q: with the provided stacking kit, can this LG dryer be stacked on top of a non-LG washer?
A: Dani I purchased the washer and dryer set and the stacking is fine. But, LG warns not to stack the dryer on any non-LG machine, indicting the warranty would be voided.
A: Hard to answer definitively...but I wouldn’t recommend it between the heat and moisture.
