    Not good for Wi-Fi streaming

This review is based on my experience with this TV model that I purchased from a different vendor. The Wi-Fi looses the connection frequently and when this happens you need to unplug the TV power, reconnect, and then it work again for a while (20 minutes to 1 day). It happened on all the 49UJ6200 TVs that I owned. Two TVs that I purchased and one that was repaired by LG with new main board and new wi-fi card. I tried everything that was directed by LG second level support:- software update, hardware reset, turned QuickStart off, and DNS change. Nothing works. When it works I can see my router and all the routers of the neighbors. When it does not work, no router will show up. That is an indication that the problem is not in my router. LG is out of fixes, they offer to replace the TV with the same model, but if 3 TVs had the same issue, that is probably not going to fix the problem. Other then that, the Picture is good. I can buy a Wi-Fi extender and connect it to the TV thru a wired internet and that will probably help, or, buy Roku (or alike) and get my streaming thru it. So, other then not be able to use the 'Smart" capabilities thru the TV's Wi-Fi hardware, it seems like it is a good TV.

Was looking for a 49-50" 4K TV that wasn't going to break the bank and narrowed it down to two or three, including the LG. This went on sale for $369 so I jumped on it. The picture is amazing as expected. The features are decent and suitable for what I will be using the set for. The setup and navigation I find simple and fairly user friendly. The only negative is the audio/speakers which are awful. This is our first TV purchase in about 8 years and maybe all of the newer/slimmer models have poor audio due to the design and I had read that about most of the models I considered, but was really shocked at how bad the sound was. Cheap, faint and tinny is the only way I can describe it. The 8-yr-old Sanyo it replaced sounded like a top of the line Bose setup in comparison. Ended up purchasing an LG sound bar from BB on sale for about $70 and it's great, but wasn't planning on having to make the additional purchase. Had I known, I might have gone with a little more expensive set with better built in speakers. Overall happy with the TV and the only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the poor sound quality.

For those of you who read the customer reviews as a help in your decision making process, this Product will meet your expectations in regards to ease of setup, picture quality and smart Functions. The basic sound of the TV is lackluster at best. With all the technology built in for the Picture, WIFI, Smart OS, the sound is quality is barely functional. I have better sound quality from my $10 gas station blue tooth speaker. You must consider purchasing some additional sound source(sound bar, surround sound) if this is your main TV. LG TV customer for more than 10 years.

The TV has a faulty Composite and Component input out of the box, talked to BestBuy who referred me to LG to repair, two months later its still not repaired. The repair Artin Electronics are hopeless, they never answer their phone and their voicemail box is always full ensuring I cannot contact them. LG executive services just refer me back to the repairer Artin who of course I cannot contact, no one at LG seems to care, absolutely no customer service, bounced from one LG customer service rep to the next. If your TV works out of the box you likely wont have this experience this but if you do have problem beware !!!! In my case it seems impossible to get help or repair, its been over two months now and counting. First LG product purchase and defiantly my last!

Purchased this TV for the den/office to replace aging/failing 32 inch TV. Originally was going to get the 43 inch version but the 49 was only $40 more. You rarely hear anyone say that a TV is too big...Very easy setup for Netflix/Amazon/Hulu etc and with the dedicated keys on the remote really nice. Picture is good, not great but then again I was not paying $ for great. No problem with the sound, I mounted it to the wall and sound bounces off wall to provide decent sound. If you don't have something behind the TV you may have an issue. All-in-all this is a great performer for the price. I purchased the TV mount at Manards, it has to be the best one I have installed to date (I have installed about 6 of them to date).

So I went shopping for a new TV, and only had a few things I wanted for sure. Size and the ability to stream Netflix and HBO (as I don't have any cable service just wireless internet.) Got a good deal on a 49" TV, went home to set it up. A little difficult.. Netflix wasn't an issue, but I was assured that HBO wouldn't be either. I watched countless videos, tutorials, and even went as far as to calling LG about not being able to directly stream HBO. SO, in the end I bought and hooked up a chromecast to stream my HBO. Just aggravated I had to make additional purchase just to do something I was assured of before my purchase. Apart from that TV is good, nice quality and clarity.

Originally had a TCL 49 4K. After 3 months the backlight had sum issues and since best buy doesnt repair that TV I decided to pay a little extra and get the LG for a replacement. What a difference. Lots of settings to play with to get the picture you want. TruMotion can be turned on/off and even customized. I actually like the soap opera effect to a certain degree and having the ability to speed and slow judder effect is awesome. HDR Looks great on xbox one s. Ive played a couple of 4k discs, Gears of War 4, Forza 7 along with Netflix and everything looks great. Not the most uniform blacks but this is a really good tv. WebOs is great. Not slow, minimal lag and it does a good job of getting to the settings and smart content. Overall this is a great tv at a great price with one of top 5 tv manufacturers.

The LG 49UJ6300 model first caught my eye in the store, however, it was more expensive than this model. After comparing the specs, these two TVs are virtually the same with some very minor differences. Right out of the box, the setup was easy and straight-forward. The picture quality is pretty good, and does not seem to be bleached out when viewed at an angle from the sides. The sound quality is decent, but sometimes feels a bit muffled. I wish the remote was a little bit bigger. The navigation through the TV settings is easy, however it is a little tough when I am trying to type something in the search bar (for example, on the YouTube app) using the remote. I like a lot of the built in applications on this TV, like Netflix and Hulu. I can even browse the web!
