Stunning, Wall Hugging and brilliant
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first LG TV. Impressive picture. Like the gallery. My concern was that we use Roku for all of our other TV systems. Once connected the Roku works intuitively and we don’t really use the LG controller. But we have played with it and found the pointer technology easy to use. The voice control is not that great - better on the Roku. Now, the picture is excellent. The TV hugs the wall with the included mount - but be aware - the mount must hit a stud and the location of the stud will determine where the TV is positioned so don’t plan on having it exactly centered on the wall. We have a bright room with lots of windows but the picture is also bright and clear. At night it is stunning!

The one and only.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is with out a doubt the best i have even owned. The picture quality is second to none. While Sony has good OLEDs in my opinion the quality of LG can't be matched. To be honest once you go OLED you can't go back. The image is superb and the crispy black is a sight to behold. I'm an LG OLED customer for life.

Must have TV for quality, style, and function.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing TV. I can only recommend LG OLED TVs. Beautiful picture and amazing picture quality. I already had a C9 for the living room but wanted this G series for the bedroom. Perfectly flat against the wall like a hanging picture. Techs did a fantastic job with the install(highly recommended). The only fault is that due to design being so close to the wall the sound quality is poor. I knew that going into the purchase so got an LG sound bar and sub to pair with it. My room is like a cinema!

Beaty that complements itself
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been looking for a tv that has the ability to complement the wall it lays on, This tv does just that and so much more originally I had been looking at the GX which is last year‘s model but hearing about LG‘s new technology “EVO” I decided to wait and it definitely paid off, amazing picture and an amazing piece of art. OLED EVO is truly the next generation of TV

Great for gaming and movies in a dark room
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose this over the A90J for gaming use and the $1100 savings. The picture is glorious with the Series X as well as watching movies. Like all TVs - get a soundbar or other audio option. Like all OLEDs - this needs to be in a dark room to be fully appreciated. Well done LG.

4k,120hz,VRR, GSync, FreeSync, Dolby Vis + more
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay so I wasn't actually ready to purchase another TV when I did. But a roommate of mine decided when he got mad at me he was gonna throw my galaxy smart watch at the TV in a brief moment of rage. The watch survived but the Sony tv did not. But boy was it a blessing mainly because of how the LG G1 & C1 panels pair with the Xbox series X. I am a PC gamer but I have an Xbox because of friends and family. But my performance in games was always half of what it was on PC do to having to use a controller as well as the big one Input Lag. It's amazing how slow the previous gen consoles were in that regard. But when I connected the series X to the LG G1 and saw that every line was now green on the Xbox display validation screen my console gaming experience blurred the line separating console gaming and PC gaming forever. Having Variable refresh rate, Gsync Freesync available, Dolby vision, 120hz available, and 4k60hz locked on some games made keyboard and mouse feel amazing! So much so I sold my gpu from my game ok mg rig and yet to replace it. I never thought in 5 years I'd have my cake and eat it to with a display good enough to game on as well as be an amazing tv. Oh yeah and the gallery wall mount that is built into the G series is pretty amazing and gets the panel as close to the wall as humanly possible. If u don't need the wall mount or have one already look at the C1 or C2 they are super solid options. I hope this wasn't to painful to read and maybe it helps someone pull the trigger on an amazing experience on the series S or X. If you have a Xbox Series X and haven't connected to a panel with HDMI 2.1 and all the specs the LG OLEDS have do yourself a favor and unlock the series x full potential and for the first time ever take away 90% of PC players advantages over console and play some pvp and see for yourself! Cheers

Q: QuestionI saw one answers here that stated the G1 has 4 HDMI 2.1 connections, but the official specifications state that is has none. So which is it? I prefer LG or an actual BB rep state whether HDMI 2.1 is part of the system and if it is, why say it isn't?
Asked by Tommy6860.
- A:Answer Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The issue has been escalated and will be resolved shortly. All 4 HDMI inputs on this model are version 2.1 and support 4K @ 120Hz. ^Daphane https://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-oled55g1pua-oled-4k-tv

Q: QuestionI have read the OLED ‘s are subject to image burn in if TV is left on all day with images that are stagnant on the screen such as news or weather channels that have some stagnant images. How many viewing hours does it take to cause screen burn in?
Asked by Skamin.
- A:Answer There is not a recommended viewing time to prevent burn in. Burn-in and image retention are possible on virtually any display. Most cases of burn-in in televisions is a result of static images or on-screen elements displaying on the screen uninterrupted for many hours or days at a time – with brightness typically at peak levels. If image retention occurs from extreme usage, it can usually be mitigated within a short period of time by turning the display off for a while, and watching a few hours of varying content (such as your standard TV watching and channel-surfing). OLED TVs have special features and settings to preserve image quality and prevent burn in and image retention. First, under OLED Screen Saver there is a Pixel Refresher that calibrates any issues that may arise on the screen when your TV has been turned on for a long time. Calibration takes more than an hour. The second feature that can be employed is the Screen Shift feature which, moves the screen slightly at regular intervals to preserve image quality. A third option is the Logo Luminance Adjustment, which can detect static logos on the screen and reduce brightness to help decrease permanent image retention. ^Daphane
