It will certainly do
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Having this TV for a month and a half, I fell like I can now review it. The first thing you will want to do is go into settings, then go to support, then under energy savings, and turn off Eco mode. This will allow you to make personal adjustments to the picture. With Eco mode on, you will be restricted. Also in settings go to Al service and turn off brightness setting, which adjust the backlight according to the room brightness. Playing with the different picture settings for a month and trying to calibrate it for the best picture, this is a very cool temperature panel. I recommend using only standard or cinema picture settings. Standard has the temperature at cold at 50 percent so I would slide it down to 0 percent or warm 50 percent. Cinema mode has the temperature at warm 50 percent as a standard which is a more accurate picture. This TV having a lower contrast ratio, it does suffer a little in dark scenes, but is very bright in everything else even with the panel brightness (backlight) at 50 percent. I never like having the backlight higher than half anyway so this is good. I tend to leave the contrast at 80-85, but not higher than 90, then the bright images look washed out. Using standard or cinema mode with these picture settings under advanced settings; Panel brightness-50, Contrast-80-85 or 90, Screen brightness-50, Auto dynamic contrast- OFF, Gamma- 2.2, Black level- Auto or Limited. Under Colour; Color depth- 45, Tint- 0 percent, Colour Gammet- Auto. Under Fine Tune; Colour Upgrade- OFF. Under White Balance; Temperature- 0 or Warm 50 Percent. Under Clarity; Sharpness- 10 percent, (everything else under clarity should be OFF) Film makers mode and Reduce Blue Light- OFF Also on this particular TV in bright scenes such as the snow during the winter olympics, you can see the vertical rows of the backlight. I counted seven rows from the direct backlight. The attached photo shows the backlight bleed a little. It only shows in bright scenes. Its not critical but if you are really paying attention, you'll definitely notice it. Overall this is an OK TV. This is not designed for critical watching. For occasional TV shows or movies, this is more than adequate. It gets the job done for a good price.

Very nice upgrade, not too extravagant
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed.I went from a 42" to this 55". My previous TV, a Toshiba, was 8 years old and was a "dumb" TV with a Fire Stick. There was nothing wrong with it, but I re-did my living room and decided to upgrade my TV. The picture quality upgrade on this was amazing. It took my eyes up while to get used to the aspect ratio, color clarity, and depth of pixelation. It works perfectly well with my smart home system (Alexa), except I am having a little trouble revising some of the commands that used to work on my old setup. It's just a learning curve thing. Once I get it down it will be smooth sailing. I love that the TV has Bluetooth, so I could get rid of the wires to my soundbar. I also like that it has live TV channels available, even though I haven't used them. I'm a show streaming fiend, so when I've run out of shows, I'll check out what the live channels have to offer. The TV mounted easily on my existing wall mount with a little help (it's a little too wide for one person to lift up and click into the mounting bracket). The TV and network setup were super easy. I was not expecting the remote to also have mouse/cursor functions. It make things a lot easier when using the search function to find something or type in alphanumeric entries.

Very Happy Customer
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed.Love, love this LG TV! We purchased to replace a Samsung and couldn't be happier. Great picture, wonderful sound and love the bright clear colors. SO is having a ball trying out all of the features such as connecting BT so he can watch his video on the TV from his computer. I think we have found our new go-to brand for future purchases. Price was reasonable and I'd recommend.

Q: QuestionWhat does the screen look like when standing to the side?
Asked by Joey.
- A:Answer This TV has a pretty good visible horizontal range. Here I am standing pretty close from both the left and right sides. There was a little glare from the ambient light, but the pixels didn't significantly darken or get distorted because of my angle. I wouldn't advise watching for very long from such a severe angle, but you can still make out what's going on on the screen for a few moments.

Q: QuestionHow can this TV be mounted over a fireplace without all the wires hanging visibly from the TV?
Asked by Karen.
- A:Answer The la grange wall kit solves the problem. You will need to cut small hole to mount central feed through wall to lower outlet for cables and power. Very clean installation. You will need some space behind dry wall for the box for wire routing. Well worth using and gets the tv to the wall. Regards Dick Bottos
